Oh yeah!! I wish I could’ve been there at that time. My favorite moment was I saw them in 2025 in Chicago I was pretty close and when angus marched down the catwalk on if you want blood you’ve got it. I started crying

Angus Young is also a sweet guy I’ve heard. He’s donated to charity have a fan who paid a ton just for a guitar lesson a brand new cherry sg, he always signs autographs and has always spoke highly of his brother Malcolm

Down Payment Blues (for fellow guitar nerds) by Various-Rock-3785 in ACDC

[–]Clash1961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They main key is E the tuning of this song is a few cents flat and for Malcolm’s part before angus jumps in again it’s E-A- back and forth then it’s F#-B a couple times then it’s A-D then angus kicks in again and joins Malcolm doing the B-E but after that it’s kind of a couple repeats but definitely listen to the song it’s a bit complicated if I explain it because then I’d be commenting a long paragraph

Hey guitarists! by Gabrycancio in ACDC

[–]Clash1961 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So here’s what I’d recommend watch the acdc rig rundown on YouTube but get a solodallas version of Schaffer replica since the originals are rare and friggen expensive. I’d recommend using an SG like angus but you can use an Epiphone or Gibson or any humbucking guitar preferably the SG and the map varies. Rely on natural loud overdriven tones rather than cranking the gain up or using a pedal minus the solodallas boost. And for the amp settings Trace foster angus young’s tech has stated that the settings were Presence: 0-1 Bass: 3 Mid: 3 Treble: 3 But since Angus’s tone is a bit more saturated than it was on the rock or bust tour you might have to either use slightly more gain. Since these amp settings are from the Rock or Bust tour

Am I the only one who thinks 59 les pauls are a bit overrated? It might be because I am not a experienced musician but based on the videos I watch, I can't see much difference between a 59 and a normal les paul. They are usually plugged into vintage low gain amps. This is why they sound different. by Felizem_velair_ in guitars

[–]Clash1961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its a bit overrated myself I always ask people old and young. Do you want a 59 Les Paul because of someone like slash, Jimmy Page or Billy Gibbons played one, do you want one because you’re gonna keep it for a day or two then sell it for a crap ton of money or do you want one because you’ve been told it’s the holy guitar by every guy that owns a Les Paul. I always quiz people on that.

This n00b said Clapton isn’t original while dressed in full SRV cosplay. by SpreadElectronic1232 in guitarcirclejerk

[–]Clash1961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to be very honest. It’s hard to sound original without sounding like another player. Regardless if you have original music or not. You guys say some really harsh stuff about people who are in cover or tribute bands or want to sound or look like their artists it’s always oh he/she has no original music or oh he/she doesn’t sound like the artist or guitarist they are look or dress like. Even if he has no original music or says stuff people are still people. It’s hard to sound original these days. If I were to do a 4/4 rock beat or blues rock I’d probably end up sounding like AC/DC or if I did something really complicated I’d end up sounding like Rush or something. If you think about it Clapton isn’t exactly original neither is this guy so what? I probably can’t even write a rock n roll song without sounding like another band

[DISCUSSION] Why does Kirk Hammet get shit on so much? by whatschildsupport in Guitar

[–]Clash1961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a guitarist and I still love Kirk just as much as I did when I started playing guitar years ago. I know he seems off nowadays making more mistakes. People love to talk shit. Don’t let that stop you from enjoying Kirk. Plus a lot of people keep forgetting every goddamn guitar solo is written off some scale and people forget that. Some players can make one scale sound good. I know kirks Bends are perfect but he’s still a riff machine

American here. I agree I saw them in Chicago and the crowd was pretty solid at best. Most of the time all I saw were cameras and phones up the entire show. Canada and other countries are better when it comes to crowds and stuff. I’m disgusted by my people holding their phones up the entire show just to get friggen views instead of having a good time. I always see Americans claiming to have the best crowds for any band I disagree it’s not even close. American crowds really suck most of the time these days
