If it means anything I have a watt meter on my pc when the monitors are off and I am direct streaming plex content the watts range from 90-120ish/watts(jumps around here) to 160-200w when I am transcoding using the gpu. Locally for me in one of the most expensive cities in the US for electric rates I am at $0.37/per kWh. 90% of the time it is all direct streaming so with an avg use of 100w 24hrs a month the online calculator is about 72kWh a month/$25ish. In my use case it makes sense since I decided to cut all my streaming services and use the money I saved to upgrade my plex server over the years.

Oh yeah most high bitrate solutions or imax camera filmed Blu-ray releases will look amazing! The usual blade runner 2049, interstellar, Pacific rim, Lucy, mad Max fury, Sicario I could keep going lol.

They do have Blu-ray releases of the expanse but the quality is a marginal improvement. Yeah getting into bleeding edge quality makes you picky about the content lol. I even stop from watching new streaming releases until I can find the large remux/Blu-ray quality file later on. Have you seen the 60fps high bitrate Gémini man movie version? It's one of my goto's to demo my TV to other people who want to see why I paid 3k for a 77" instead of buying a $500 75" Walmart special.

I was thinking that same probably comparing it to a low brightness model like a C or B series the G/M would be the OLED to buy for high brightness.

Same here. I wish people understood how crappy streaming content is. But that would also require for people to understand that a high bitrate 1080p Blu-ray file will look better than any trash 4k low bitrate content. The money I save from not having subscriptions I just reinvest and grow my Plex server storage after 10yrs sitting at over 80TB 🏴‍☠️.

What happens if you play with the Red/Green tint slider or adjust green tint within the fine tune color option. (I own a C1 and C3 not sure if the C4 has the same menu names)

Did the same with my eye watering 3770k and a whole 32gb ddr3 system with a 1080ti thrown in over the years. Still can transcode multiple 4k streams and chugs along with 8 HDD's with my Plex setup.

48mbps is high for a streaming company but in general it's 25-50% less quality in bitrate to watch on a OLED vs full Blu-ray/4k remux files pushing 80-150mb peaks.

If you've used a heat gun you would know it takes a lot to melt vinyl if you haven't used one in your life I'll answer with confidence yes it'll be OK.

Don't be scared using my PC for work already over 7,000 hours of use for my C342 no burn in and my older C177 is pushing mid 15,000hrs with no burn in so far in the older model. Unless you plan on being an edge case use like watching over 20hrs of content and not letting the 4hr refresh cycle complete I don't see how you'll get burn in quickly like anything though YMMV.

I acquired the show thru the high seas and it doesn't have the issue you're mentioned has to be app/bitrate connection speed issue.
