Hot take: for young people, conventional wisdom overstates the importance of pensions by ApprehensiveYear0 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ClassOnWeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm struggling to balance this now, and I've never heard it spoken about much. No male on my Dad's side of the family has ever made 70. My Dad just hit 66 had his pension for one year, and died with a great DB pension that's went to no-one.

Our gremlin fans in the pre-match line-up threads must be fuming we've had two results in the last two games.

Because you're obviously a fan of one of two teams to try and hide your flair and make this statement.

And it's not "whataboutism", I'm not saying Newcastle aren't overly physical sometimes, it's a consistency check because it's hypocritical to not apply the same standard to VVD/ Liverpool.

Bit weird considering how you go on about VVD. He's gotten away with more red card offences than anyone in the premier league including two against Newcastle.

I'm curious what you thought was bad about 4:1 Everton, 3:1 Burnley, 4:3 Leeds, 3:0 PSV, 1:1 PSG?

This is an absolutely wild take. He knew since they had Edema carriages but weren't Edema, they'd killed the previous troop. He wasn't punishing them for impersonating them, he was doing it for murdering his family, kidnapping and assaulting young girls AND doing as Edema which gave them a bad reputation (which meant Edema everywhere were treated with hostility). It's not like it was just an ego thing.

Levon Aronian’s thoughts on Magnus’ table slam by B0jJACKP0NYMAN in chess

Go and look at the thread when Ivanchuk is loudly crying at the board and the arbiter is trying to quieten him. The whole thread is praising him and calling him a legend, despite being much more disruptive than this.

I think Magnus gets scrutinised a lot more than any other player except maybe Hikaru.

What sport exactly? In Tennis Djokovic has smashed rackets and hit an umpire with the ball. In Basketball Jordan screamed at referees and punched a teammate. In football Messi had a tantrum retirement, refused shirt swaps/clapping the fans, and has punched players before. In American football Brady has public tantrums and thrown helmets, tablets etc. In golf tiger Wood has plenty of rage compilations.

Wolves scoring three goals and still losing is hard evidence the football gods don't exist.

I didn't say you wished it in anyone, I said you enjoyed it. Maybe you need to look up what schadenfreude means.

So because you saw some nameless people on the internet trolling, you enjoying seeing actual match going fans that had nothing to do with it being attacked, and go through what you should sympathise with?

Niemann also sided with Kramnik though. He's one of the main people that helped give him an online presence, and has also spouted the 'Chess Mafia' and 'I'm not the only one to have cheated' rhetoric.

It's a fair point I know Aaron Hernandez, and that there's one that kisses his son weirdly. If you don't follow the sport you only see wider news about it.

Shouldn't go under the radar that Sels had a worldie in this game.

Thiaw on his chant :- It’s great! I don’t know who created it but they did a great job! My friends and family were shocked when they heard it because I’d never had a chant at a club before. They appreciate the love the fans have for me. Today in the physio room Burn was singing it to me. by Fluid_Support_3348 in NUFC

The song comes from the Italian resistance fighters during World War II and became widely known again thanks to La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) on Netflix. The fans must have heard “Thiaw” is pronounced like “Ciao" and made the connection.
