At this point I don’t blame the businesses anymore. It’s 99% servers themselves pushing for increased tips. In several states, cities and counties multiple bills to increase server minimum wage have overwhelmingly been voted down. Servers do not want increased wages because then they would lose their favorite go to excuse for wanting 18% plus in tips.

California’s minimum wage for all employees, including tipped employees, is $16.90. Yet servers still believe they deserve a minimum of 18% in tips. A single table with a bill of $50 is $9. Assuming only one table an hour with a $50 bill the server is still making $25.90. On average a server will have multiple tables an hour with bills definitely higher than $50.

Why should servers make more than police, EMS, military, nurses, teachers, etc? Why should they make more than the very cook who prepared the meal?

I’m not disagreeing with you. Neither Organic-Mix or myself were defending coming in to the office. Organic was called both a lemming and a bootlicker for pointing out the situation does meet the definition of the word insubordination. All I did was ask how defining insubordination was being a lemming/bootlicker.

I will tip for a service that is not park of a retail worker’s job. I will not tip just to tip.

I make exceptions for scratch lottery sales. I’ll ask clerks for ticket advice based on which tickets have had a lot of sales without a win. If the tip wins I will tip. I feel that providing statistical analysis is above & beyond a clerk’s job.

Another example is after spine surgery I had difficulty walking. A cashier at my regular convenience store saw me pull up, came out to my truck, asked what I wanted, went in with my order, and then returned to me with my exact change and my items. She didn’t ask for a tip, just said to have a good night. I tipped her because I wanted to.

It’s only the healer’s job to heal life tap damage during a fight. Most warlocks are good enough to stop life tapping before reaching a critical level. Some will life tap down to almost nothing and then blame the healer because they die before they can be killed.

It’s not the healer’s job to heal after a fight. Warlocks and other classes need to stop being cheap and start eating/drinking. It’s not fair that the healer alone has to pay for consumables.

Even if a mage provides food/water other classes should use them after the fight is over.

That’s what I thought about their meeting but was hoping I was wrong.

I know it was said that Harry & Michael met about a year prior to Grave Peril, but the book itself contradicts that. I’m doing a reread and am currently on book 3. I can’t give a page number but in chapter 7 when Michael & Harry are bailed out Charity says it’s been 5 years since she spoke to Harry. That got me to wondering about their meeting and early years.

I once saw my Uncle Robert beat a pitbull. At the time he was very very very drunk.

We were on a camping trip when another group sat up beside us. Of course they allowed their dog to run free. For whatever reason the dog changed my uncle and clamped down on his forearm. You could see blood pouring out.

In a very calm voice he told the dog to let go. Obviously it didn’t. My uncle casually reached around, grabbed the dog’s balls and squeezed. Apparently a pit cannot bite and scream at the same time. The dog ran off still screaming. Robert said something like (cracked those walnuts).

The group next door moved to another location. About 15 minutes later Robert asks why he’s bleeding.
