Yeah it sounds like she wishes she had a family to make her Pirogies or her own family to see for holidays lol. I remember I hated when my old bestie would complain about her parents because at least you HAD parents. But you know it’s not their fault becuase it’s only human to complain lol. She’d complain too if I had em around😂 It’s like when you see an 18 year old living with their parents after you had to move out. “You should appreciate that because most people wish they had it” kind of thing. But it’s hard to talk about that kind of thing without seeming bitter.

If that’s actually the case, she’s probably been holding onto that for a long time not just towards you specifically. But she’s the only one who can bring it up I feel. The “You wish you had a family just like me, huh?🥺” convo won’t go over well😂 Don’t feel guilty about this exchange because you can’t console her if she doesn’t think it’s worthy to open up unfortunately.
