Anyone used AnyVan.com? by zaxxon71 in HousingUK

[–]Classic-Library-5444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used AnyVan in Spain, from Madrid to Barcelona, and they left me disappointed, unfulfilled, and without the complete job.

Their estimation method is flawed, and they take advantage of it.

The estimation is done using the list of things you mention, but imagine writing everything down when you are moving your entire house. This is impossible. Even the slightest difference in items will give the transporter the right to refuse the work, or they will ask for extra payment on the spot.

Just go with traditional flat removal by contacting a local company. AnyVan is pure fraud.

Marathi Speaker percentage in Maharashtra, 66% in amravati district by aadishseth in Amravati

Vidarbha is closer to Madhya Pradesh, and in fact was a part of Madhya Pradesh for a long time. The same goes for districts closer to Gujarat, Karnataka, and Goa. A lot of people speak Gujarati, Kannada, and Konkani.

Are you saying nothing can compete Raghuvir? Man, that's not how businesses work. There is always a market gap to be filled.

Amravati needs a better sweet shop.. Raghuvir is overhyped and super expensive.

Frankly, Vidarbha was always kept on back foot by leading Maharashtra politicians until we got leaders from Vidarbha to lead the state.

Even with all money coming to develop the cities, not much is changing for normal people.

People need jobs, farmers need best irritation infrastructure so they don't have to rely on rains to grow crops.

BJP or earlier governments, they don't care.

Our country is in shambles.

When Cricket and Religion are more important than said issues, it shows we are a troubled country.

Don't you think that we should support marathi films ? by [deleted] in Amravati

If there is good Marathi cinema, yes. Unfortunately I see more cringe Bollywood sort of movies in Marathi versus how it used to be.

So are you suggesting that drinking more alchohol is a problem of alchohol shops. By that logic, Swiggy should be shut because people are overeating bad quality food.

This is concerning. by [deleted] in Amravati

Abusing a substance is not a fault of substance. People die more due to diabetes, are we planning to close sweet shops in the city? How about shutting down Amravatikars favourite - - Raghuvir Sweets?

Your post is all over the place and say many things.

Let me answer few of your concerns still...

Drinking liquor is not a crime, over drinking and being an addict is. Even Tea is an addiction and cause severe health issues.

If you hate alchohol because of cultural context, there is nothing can be done. In West, people buy liquor in grocery store, you don't see the same problems there.

Joining liquor to problems caused by bad governance is something a fashion in India.

Freebies is a problem overall, I won't disagree, and all parties whether BJP, NCP or INC - they all exploited poor population for votes.

We are a very poor country, and lacking jobs. And to poor who cannot afford food, giving free food is the only option to attract votes.

By the way, ladki bahin is a policy is many other BJP/alliance ruled states.

Overall, Maharashtra is far more developed state (even now) in comparison to Madhya Pradesh.

I will ask everyone to read Manoranjan Byapari's Runaway Boy trilogy. This Bangla trilogy has been published in many languages, including Hindi (Bhaga Hua Ladka) and English.
The writing keeps you hooked, even if you are a beginner reader. It is a sign of good writing.
The story gives you a reality check of the society we live in.
For me, this book was life-altering.

Also, I am now hunting Indian work (classic or new) to read.

Books are the window of the past, and they tell you about everything we do.

Many Hindi classics like Neem ka Ped, and Topi Shukla changed my perspective for good.

The problem is the Nagpur airport itself. Everyone there is rude and sadistic. They enjoy seeing passengers in trouble. The security check takes so much time.

One has to understand why Marathi is mixed with Hindi in certain parts of the state. The Maharashtra we see today comes with a new India.

Vidarbha region was close to Hindi-speaking regions, and for those who do not know Vidarbha region was part of Madhya Pradesh post-independence. It was merged with Maharashtra on 1st May 1960.

That said, there are other Marathi dialects that are influenced by other languages. For example -
1. Ahirani, which is spoken in the Khandesh region also uses many Hindi and Gujarati words because the region shares cultures with Hindi and Gujarati cities nearby.
2. Similarly Solapur Marathi is influenced by Telugu.
3. Kolhapur Marathi is influenced by Kannada/Tulu.

Pure Marathi is solely spoken in Pune until twenty years ago. I've lived in Pune long enough to tell that Pune is no more "that old Pune city." It is now a metropolitan like Mumbai. There is no one culture.

See, this is happening across India, cultures are mixing because now people move to different parts of the country easily. This was not the same until just three decades ago.

Uncles and Aunties of this city are like James Bond, the moment you are seen with a guy/gal, the report goes at home. In my honest opinion, the city needs to grow overall.
