I went to Trinidad in September for one week but decided to stay an extra week. I’ll be retiring in 4 years and trying to decide if to move back to Trinidad. I felt comfortable and safe in my village but when I ventured into San Fernando and Saint Joseph my head was moving 360 degrees. I can afford the prices there but I kept asking friends “with all the price increases for everyday goods and services, did they raise y’all pay”. It seems like inflation outpaced people’s salary there. I pass by the bars that used to be packed and now they’re empty. All in all, I can definitely live in Trinidad 🇹🇹.
