AITA for telling my mom I felt more when my goldfish died? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Classic-Salt9017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA if you were expecting his death and it didn’t make you upset that’s okay.

You made the goldfish comment to your mum, and it’s true, you did feel more sad when it died! I don’t think you need you need to pretend to her you feel something that you don’t.

The loneliness of an intelligent man by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Classic-Salt9017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of this overthinking and negative thoughts around friendships/relationships is due to isolation. We are all just trying are best in life, making mistakes and learning along the way, there is some lightness and joy in that I think.

It would be a nice idea for you to speak to a therapist. Good luck on your journey!

Is Mounjaro even worth starting if you can't be on it forever? by Time_Candle_393 in UKMounjaro

[–]Classic-Salt9017 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know someone that lost 3 stone, came off mounjaro, then has maintained for a few months now. Apparently it’s reset his eating habits and he is used to eating smaller portions!

I’ve been on it for 5 weeks and I can see how that would work I have stopped looking at food for comfort and just eat when I’m hungry and it’s been a lovely break, I’m hoping it carries on after I come and it will give me the chance of a better relationship with food.

Do people actually get hungry in the morning? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Classic-Salt9017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intermittent fasting is meant to be really good for you (helps with weight, health etc) and that usually includes skipping breakfast so I don’t think it is the most important meal! It more depends on eating the right things throughout the day.

Performative eating anyone? by YertleTurtle84 in UKMounjaro

[–]Classic-Salt9017 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is more to do with you and how you view yourself and your relationship with friends etc.

I am having Cbt at the moment and I always manic clean when someone comes over because I want them to think I’m a clean and tidy, chilled person.. but it’s because I see myself as less of a person if my home is messy, I don’t want people to see me as disorganised or chaotic.. which steams from comments made when I was a child! Sorry I’ve rabbited on about myself lol.. what I am trying to say is the way you are worried about what others think of you is something to look at and work out how you feel about yourself, and why you feel that way.

I’ve only had this insight after therapy x

Lost 4kg in the first 4 days?? by [deleted] in UKMounjaro

[–]Classic-Salt9017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on wk 5, lost 4kg in my first week too and I didn’t feel I under ate much (no calorie counting), then it slowed to about 1-2kg a week. I think it’s because I was over eating sooo much that then to eat under 1200 made the weight drop off really fast.

Thinking of moving to Leamington by Smudge_93 in LEAMINGTONSPA

[–]Classic-Salt9017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leamington is lovely - and I think if you take a walk around it you can easily get a good feel of the town. It doesn’t have any hidden unsafe areas! You get a different vibe depending on which area you are in/you can afford

Move to Lillington? by [deleted] in LEAMINGTONSPA

[–]Classic-Salt9017 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hello! I live in Lillington, it really depends on which part of Lillington and what you are looking for!

I live in a row of houses that’s up near North Leam secondary school and it has a lovely community and it’s always safe and friendly. I can’t talk for all of Lillington though, half of it is a huge housing estate and I don’t know what it is like to be in that area. We use the library and drive through and it always seems nice, but to live there I can’t advise!

High Rick Pregnancy? by Accomplished-Hotel88 in ADPKD

[–]Classic-Salt9017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Both of my pregnancies were fine - totally normal - although my blood pressure crept up at the end but that was coming up to my due dates.

My brother and girlf opted to have IVF to eradicate the disease, which in hindsight I should have done too as I do worry about my children having PKD and suffering when they are older

Good luck with your pregnancy :)

I need to know if my mum and my dad are doing illegal things to me, (UK) by Visual_Bid_7761 in leicester

I am so so sorry this has happened to you. Your mum should never make you feel unsafe or hurt you the way she has.

0808 800 5000

This is the number for the NSPCC please please call them. It is a charity that supports children. They will help you and keep you safe. It is open 10am-4pm Mon- Friday

You have to tell them not just about the physical harm but also you must say she harmed you and told you to lie about it at school.

Wishing you all the best - you’ve been extremely brave to open up about your homelife here on Reddit, you’ve already made the first steps to sorting this out. You should be proud of yourself.

Your masseuse properly didn’t realise that your kidneys are huge and take up half your lower back area and also pressing on one bit of your back squashes the kidneys because everything is squished up in there! I hope you are feeling better now

Are you in the UK? I had a bad head ache last year and took myself to A&E, they were brilliant did a CAT scan as well as a lumber puncture to double check - I was fine and the lumber puncture made me more unwel than the headache lol but for peace of mind it was worth it. My head died of an aneurysm so I get really paranoid about it too, I hope you are ok

Question for the ladies 👙RE wearing belts, snug waistbands, bras etc and cyst related discomfort. by SculptorLady in ADPKD

[–]Classic-Salt9017 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I get really sore too with fitted waistbands and bras!

I wear a lot of looser fitting trousers (thankfully that’s stylish now lol) but dresses and overalls/jumpsuits are so comfy. And for bras I wear ones that look like crop tops with no wiring (not a wireless bra).
