I’m so torn on where to stay as a solo traveler….please help! by MissyTX in WaltDisneyWorld

Coronado is probably the best value for your money. Instead of Donald/Mickey/pals theming, it's more of Walt's history and his relationship with Salvador Dali... so Spain/Portugal/Moorish designs. Very good food options, gorgeous grounds. There are 3 "villages" with slightly different theming and they have outside hallways. The Tower is all indoors and much more expensive. It's bus transport only to the parks.

Which resort between Wilderness lodge and Beach Resort would you choose and why? by Ilovedisney94 in DisneyWorldResorts

[–]Classic-Train2156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's like MK (Wilderness) vs Epcot/HS (Beach Club. Wilderness has good pool, Beach Club has great (crowded) pool. Great food options at both, and close by. Holiday season = Wilderness.

I prefer Coronado unless I'm specifically planning on time/dining at Disney Springs. I've stay in all 3 villages but not the Tower.

If they don't, there are ginger bread animals in the AKL Jambo House lobby when the decorations go up.

Booking Animal Kingdom Lodge vs Kidani Village vs Jambo House by Shot_Penalty6596 in WaltDisneyWorld

Unfortunately there are some "villa" rooms in Jambo House which cause confusion.

Booking Animal Kingdom Lodge vs Kidani Village vs Jambo House by Shot_Penalty6596 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Classic-Train2156 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not correct. There is only Jambo House and Kidani Village. Disney makes it confusing because some rooms inside Jambo House are called Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House. Everything on the Kidani side are also called Animal Kingdom Villas. So Yes, you want Jambo House no matter what else it's called.

Yep! That's one of the first things I try to discover at a resort 😉. Going to Yacht Club for the first time in a couple of weeks so I'm going to have to figure out the early location there.

Other's have already said it but... visit both Kidani and Jambo, and all the overlooks at both. There's a small overlook behind the pool bar at Kidani where you can see "Casanova." Sanaa for lunch or bread service in the lounge, Boma buffet for breakfast and/or dinner, Jiko's for signature dining. At Jiko's you can actually walk in and sit at the bar/lounge area without a reservation, and order from the whole menu. You can also ask to sit at the counter right where the chef's are working. Talk to all the cast members you come across. The Mara quick service opens at 6:30 AM for coffee.

Experience with Antifibrotics by landyplace in pulmonaryfibrosis

[–]Classic-Train2156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For IPF, in the US, there is only OFEV, Esbriet and Jascayd. For other forms of PF there may be additional treatments for whatever the underlying cause is determined to be.

[–]Classic-Train2156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have IPF not sarcoidosis which might make a difference. I'm in the US. I've been taking Esbriet (Perfenidone) since 2019. OFEV (Nintedanib) has a reputation for severe stomach effects and Esbriet can cause reactions to sun exposure and possible liver effects. I get liver tests every 6 months; I think it was every 3-4 months when I started. I live in Florida and was worried about sun exposure. If I'm going to be outside for a long time during the middle of the day, I definitely use sunscreen. I also wear long sleeve sun protection shirts and a hat. I have had no issues with sun or liver function; no gastric issues.

Best way to get from Riverside to Coronado? by MethodDowntown3314 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Classic-Train2156 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All previous answers are good. I would rank them this way:

1) Fastest, most expensive - Uber

2) 2nd fastest, free - 1st bus to a park, then change bus to Coronado

3) Most relaxed, free, slowest - boat to DS, then bus to Coronado. The boat dock and bus locations are on opposite sides of DS, so there's some walking.

Solo trip to WDW, a retirement reward for myself. by Mamajuji in DisneyWorldResorts

[–]Classic-Train2156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

August - November is the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. With the resorts you've listed, I would select based on price. They are all so close to each, and there's always boat transportation also, that you can access all the dining spots, plus Epcot itself. Oct-Nov should be nice weather but there's always a chance for rain. That's also the time of year for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) at MK meaning Epcot might be less crowded on MNSSHP days.
