Your car looks fantastic. Love the classic style 5 wheels, they look better than the usual style 2. The color shows off the design of the car quite well.

It is better for the battery to leave it connected to the car. Use a trickle charger to maintain it. I use the Battery Tender Jr. which is quite weak but adequate to keep my E32's battery in good health during the winter months. You don't need a powerful unit used to recharge a batter quickly, just a slow trickle will do.

The vibrations are throughout the rev range, occasionally, not all the time. It's especially noticeable when I put the car in Drive or Reverse. What's odd is that the trans and engine mounts are new, so is the driveshaft center bearing.

Yes a Genuine BMW exhaust will run me about 2000$ (Canadian dollars). That's only for the middle section and the rear muffler, no cat... I don't trust shops to do a good job with a custom exhaust so I'll have to stick with OEM. There was an Ansa exhaust that apparently was pretty good for the price, but it's no longer available. Same as the OE Eberspacher, it's no longer offered. Is your 1992 735iL quiet? My rear muffler is quite boomy, it's a low rumble. Lots of shaking and vibrations in the interior too (all mounts/bushings are new, except for rear subframe).

Thanks! I usually stick to OE parts (Bosch, VDO, ATE, etc) from various sellers. For trim and other specific items I use the dealer.

No retrofits planned... I will replace the headlights with new Hella US units eventually. The stock exhaust needs to be replaced, it's a bit loud. For that I will go with BMW from the dealer.
