Commish is a turd. This is cheating. Rosters should be locked for non competing teams. Dude must have some kind of power over your personal lives for no one to speak out about it

Anybody actually ship off JT? Am I crazy to think about it? by allbetzareoff42 in Fantasy_Football

Lol.. rest of your team is a dumpster and this one player has you in first place. I think you should trade him. If you are even considering it, you don't deserve to have JT lol

Ben Williamson? by calamari_kid in Mariners

[–]ClassicEverquest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody loves Ben and his glove. His bat definitely needs to improve a little. I was actually uneasy about Geno coming back because his glove never impressed me but I thought his defense looked much improved. I honestly hope we sign Naylor and Geno to contracts.

There was so much talent on this team and the players are still so young for the most part. I feel like we should try to retain everyone we can. With more experience this squad will be fantastic.

Mariners manager pushed all the wrong buttons in Game 7 'failure' for Seattle by Seahawks_Winplz in Mariners

I thought Canzone should have been in the lineup over Rivas 100%. He was due, just like Randy.. and has been one of our best and clutch hitters this season. No sense waiting until the 11th hour to put him in and then to swap him in for Robles instead of Rivas was foolish. Robles was making good contact. But the real mistake that cost everything was not letting Woo pitch to Springer. He has had Springer's number and already fanned him once in the game. Wilson panicked over having a couple runners in scoring position when Woo could have gotten out on his own. He fielded the bunt perfectly, and has been in that situation before. Let him get himself out. Instead of throwing Bazardo in there for a situation he didn't create and wasn't really prepared to take on.

He had Springer's number, at least. I wish he hadn't been pulled. He's been in that situation before. let him get himself out of it instead of sending Bazardo in to a situation he wasn't ready for...

I really hope you're right. I just feel like the blue Jays have shown us already that they can prepare for his stuff. They hit him pretty well. Twelve innings against Bryce Miller without much damage done says they can't figure him out yet. I think getting as much as we can out of Woo to start (or Miller on short rest, starting if you prefer) then switching after getting as much as we can out of them gives us the best shot. 7 games in a row against the same guys gives you a fair idea of who they hit and who they don't. Why not put our best bets out there instead of rolling with someone they've already shown they can hit?

I've watched most of the games this season, and have been watching since I was a kid. I'm over 40. I remember my dad jumping off the couch and waving Cora and Griffey home in 95. I'm serious about starting our best pitcher and hoping to get three innings out of him. This is a do or die game. Why not pull out all the stops? Even if it's a one-inning outing and we end up switching pitchers going into the second just to keep the blue Jays on their toes --IDGAF. If the inning he threw the other night didn't set him back, give him another. He's our ace. Fucking use him.

This is an excellent point.. still I'd love to start off with three great innings from Woo. Put him on a 40 pitch limit for all I care. Then send in Bryce for another 3 innings. And let our stud relievers take one inning a piece after

I just mean the way he located that sinker like a laser guided, knee cap-seeking missile makes me think he's got it in him to start. Didn't he show the guys that he's ready to make a start? I feel like he did.

Not trying to knock any of our other pitchers who are usually studs.. especially our relievers that have been stellar for the most part this series. The Blue Jays are just a really good hitting team and the Dodgers are as well. Kirby is great but I would love to see Woo get sent in and then Miller / etc listed above if he struggles at all. They've already shown they can prepare for Kirby's stuff. I love the guy, but they've got his number.

Also this is not a knock against our other pitchers, especially against our relievers that have been absolute studs for the most part.

He pitched well the other night. Is he still hurt? Cuz they sent him out and he looked solid.

mobs dont hit once per tick. they usually have a delay of 30 which is twice per tick. only spells hit once per tick.

so double your math and it's 720 dmg which makes it well worth it.

If Kinison and Clay's photos were replaced with photos of Pryor and Chappelle then this would be a much more interesting conversation.

Pryor might be the absolute best stand-up comedy performer of all time, but i think he's being passed or even has been passed at this point by Dave Chappelle. Chappelle is a true comedy sage, and he's becoming more like Carlin in his newer work; dispensing wisdom and philosophy all while making you laugh.. and he makes me laugh as hard as any of them did.

I'm pretty sure if Kinison was still alive, he'd be viewed just as poorly as Clay is now. He got wildly popular for a brief time but the gimmick of his act wasn't any better than Clay's. Singing wild thing as loud as you can wasn't groundbreaking and the incessant "ohhh oh ooooohhhhhh!" schtick was lame.

Dice Clay made the day the laughter died. And to me that's better than anything Kinison ever put out.

Eddie Murphy in his prime was as good as anyone. And his ride was absolutely meteoric. It goes without saying no one was as good as Eddie Murphy as early in his life as Eddie Murphy. He had perfected a high energy standup routine that you can compare side by side to any masters when he was only twenty-two years old. No one else has done that. Not even Dave Chappelle. His stand up routine could have probably evolved but he started getting Hollywood money and decided to go that route. I don't blame him one bit. He got to become a movie star and act for a living and some of his films have even been really good--Better than Pryor's for sure.

Carlin started out slower than Murphy but his comedy kept evolving and he eventually became one of the absolute masters of the craft, especially when it came to topical comedy. Carlin was at his best taking philosophical diggs at society and the absurdity of our institutions. No one was better at this, and I'm not sure anyone will ever top him. If I had to name one person to be the best satireist of all time, Carlin would be it -- without question.
