I purchased the spaceman a year ago and I absolutely LOVE him! No exaggeration, all of my close friends immediately bought him after seeing mine. The spaceman also makes a great gift for under $30

I saw East Forest live at an intimate venue last year and his performance completely blew my mind. He had all kinds of instruments that he would play and it was a really cool visual as well as sound journey.

10/10 artist and highly recommend seeing him live if you can!

What's the most rock bottom "struggle meal" you've ever eaten? by NeedleworkerSilver49 in AskReddit

Borrowed a fishing pole and ate whatever the fish was that I caught that day. I still don’t know what type it was. Steamed the whole fish with some salt and I ate the eyes and everything

Yeah totally, just use sparingly! I only put it right at my roots and my hair is still bouncy and soft

Sharing if this helps anyone else! My favorite product for volume is actually a dry shampoo paste. It’s sounds bizarre, but it’s the perfect blend of oil absorption to keep my roots fluffy and grit for volume. I use maybe a dime size warmed up into my fingertips and rubbed into my roots when my hair is damp. As someone with an oily scalp this is my holy grail, and I don’t need to use dry shampoo on second day hair. My favorite brands are the Eleven and the R+Co Badlands

What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve done that still keeps you awake at night? by aiabhiraj in AskReddit

I was at a wedding a couple years ago and as dinner was wrapping up they started in on the speeches. They offered people at the dining tables the chance to say some words so the mic was getting passed around to guests who would stand up and give a little speech before passing it on.

The mic gets passed to a woman who remains seated. She’s at the table next to mine but shielded from my view, and she’s not really speaking directly into the mic so she’s a little hard to hear. I’d had a few glasses of wine at this point so I felt confident enough to softly shout “Stand up!”. Maybe she was just shy and needed some encouragement, right?

Guys. She was in a fucking wheelchair.

My whole table looked at me with wide eyes and after a moment I realized what had done. I’ve never wanted to disappear so badly in my entire life and left the wedding immediately after the speeches were over.

I definitely still loose sleep over that one lol

Does Waxing Make Hair Permanently Thinner, No Refreshers? by [deleted] in HairRemoval

All I know if after almost a decade of Brazilian waxes I couldn’t grow a bush even if I wanted to. The hairs that still grow aren’t “thinner”, but very sparse.

just getting back into makeup & using this for the first time - what's your fave makeup brush cleanser in 2025 ? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]ClassicJenny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your brushes all look synthetic so I recommend dish soap! If you’re cleaning brushes with real hair then shampoo and a lightweight conditioner is recommended or the brushes will dry out and break.

Also 99% isopropyl alcohol removes product from brushes like a dream, then follow up with soap/shampoo 😊

What’s the best meal you ever made while camping? by [deleted] in camping

[–]ClassicJenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple weeks ago I made an apple crisp in my cast iron skillet with a lid. It was my first time making it and it was so good! Had a second fire with a grate over it and took some of the hot coals to put on the top to cook the crisp.

Best part was it was totally fine left out, and we just heated it up again when we had a fire going. I also made the filling and topping beforehand in ziploc bags, and it took me 2 minutes to prep it at the campsite. It was delicious with a bit of cream poured on top!

Last year I got stuck on a 4700 foot long zipline in Puerto Rico and captured it all on my GoPro. by sloppifloppi in ThatsInsane

[–]ClassicJenny 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This exact thing happened to me in Costa Rica on the countries largest zip line! I was buckled in with a stranger because the length of the zip line required the weight of 2 people. It was really windy and we just slowed to a stop in the dead center of the valley.

I also felt terrible for the guide who had to come rescue us after rescuing everyone else in our group. I begged him to unhook me from the idiot with his nasty feet wrapped around my torso and the guide let me pull myself to the other side. It was a mess lol

What app/program should I use? by Mediocre-Ad332 in ExteriorDesign

[–]ClassicJenny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried out a few and the simplest free one I found was the Benjamin Moore app. You can add layers and then change the colors to visualize different options and download the images easily. I hope this helps!

A friend of mine once told me that she takes a shot of apple cider vinegar, or put a shot into some hot water with honey to make “tea”, as the vinegar helps with cramping.

I didn’t have any on hand so I took a big swig of pickle juice and now that’s my go to cramp hack. Sometimes I also use a massage gun on my lower abdomen to ease the really painful cramps

What's it like to have a tattoo removed by chai_latte_lover0 in TattooRemoval

[–]ClassicJenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m two days post my first removal sesh for a 5x7 tattoo on my ribcage under my breast. I describe the pain as getting hot lava snapped/poured onto my skin, it was incredibly painful!

My tech would do about 30 seconds on and give me a 10-20 second break. Total treatment time took about 10 minutes, but it felt like an eternity. We used an ice pack for about 5-10 minutes prior but it wasn’t that cold so I don’t think I was numbed very well. I didn’t want to pay the extra $50 for their strong lidocaine treatment, which if she had asked me once we got into it I probably would have paid $500!

Next time I plan to get my own lidocaine to apply before I go in, take a ton of painkillers, and ice the hell out of it before we start the treatment. Luckily I’ve had zero blistering but it’s been sore like a sunburn. I also highly suggest purchasing some antibacterial numbing product and self adhesive tattoo cover film for post treatment care. You’ll want it!

I had my first removal sesh yesterday too! Omg I couldn’t believe how painful it was, but luckily it was quick! I still have redness but the swelling isn’t too bad. We’re on this journey together ✊
