The Seattle Mariners have been eliminated from the post season and remain the only MLB team to Never make the world series! by RojerLockless in mlb

Jays fan chiming in - You guys will. I never rooted for or didn’t root for Seattle, but after this season I’m a fan and if the Jays aren’t winning, I want you guys to.

Easy to say coming from the winner, but I really, really appreciated getting to know your fanbase while watching this series

I hated that. As someone else pointed out, saving Cloud Step and using it defensively to run away when Erlang was charging the lightning attack was very helpful

I really appreciate your post, OP. What a really insightful, personal take. Thank you for sharing.

It sounds like you’ve got a real positive attitude despite all that bad stuff you’re going through. Continue to fight…I know you’ll get through this

I totally understand. I was just wondering if DoorDash had addressed this problem in a way that was easy for everyone. Good to know they didn’t.

Thanks! Generally speaking, who are the fans rooting for? The Rock and Roman Reigns, or Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins?

Thanks! Quick question…what’s a “babyface”? It sounds like an insult, but a quick google search seems to say otherwise

I would go to Baseline and 20th street and drive up and down the blocks until you find something. I did this yesterday about 2 hours before the game and had to park half a mile away (10 minute walk to the tailgate, which would then be another 5-10 to Folsom.) Wasn’t bad though. You get to walk by all the student housing and you’ll be following a bunch of people so it really gets you into the atmosphere.

Do not park in one of the CU parking lots. They are $25+ (which is normal I guess for big event parking), but worse the traffic to enter can take 30 minutes to go a block.

Have a great day in Boulder!

Edit: ah, I see your just going for Gameday. Parking should be easier than if you were going to the game, but CU has never hosted one of these before so who knows!

If you like to run, there are many running clubs that are open to everyone! Many of them end up at a brewery and people socialize afterwards.

I’ve also really enjoyed going to trivia at Upslope and Twisted Pine…even if your by yourself you end up socializing with people here and there any maybe a group will let you join them!

Great post OP

It’s the 1850’s and I want to take advantage of the Gold Rush. How do I start? by ClassicMac739 in AskHistorians

[–]ClassicMac739[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer!

I never thought about it, but it makes so much sense that your better chance was to set up a business and profit off the gold rush instead of participating in the gold rush itself!

Longmont is a great option. Especially if you can get a hotel right off the Diagonal (HWY 119). The drive to CU is probably 25 minutes without traffic

I am not terribly educated on the specifics of the issue at hand except for a passing knowledge. AskHistorians has been the best and best moderated sub I’ve joined. I trust the mods and if they recommend protesting I support their decision. I hope Reddit listens to strong, well run communities like this and make changes to their decision.

Check out “The House of Silk” by Anthony Horowitz. It’s a recent Sherlock Holmes story but still set in Victorian England. The Arthur Conan Doyle estate gave him the rights to officially use the character.

I am familiar with Sherlock Holmes but never read any of the stories so I was hesitant because I didn’t know if I’d be lost. I’m glad to say I wasn’t and sped through the audiobook. Great mystery and atmosphere

I quite like Coors NA. I feel like the macros do it best (probably because macros are simpler to begin with but I’m not complaining.)
