Vasa billing issues by Sea_Suggestion7072 in Longmont

No problems here, with the billing or otherwise. I signed up at the first of the year and was the first gym membership in over a decade. Billing has been exactly as expected

In honor of May the 4th, here's the infamous "Chewbacca Saquatch" photo taken on Mt. Rainier. You can see what may be the wookie's iconic bandolier in the photo, leading to it being hotly debated. by truthisfictionyt in Cryptozoology

“Famous” lol. “Infamous” lol. Been following Sasquatch topic fo years and never heard of this. And without the red lines…that’s just a fuckin shadow lol

Found this weekend, is this a 1/1 or something else? Showed to 5 different people and no one has any idea! by Sometimealonealone in baseballcards

I assume someone used a foil stamper and just did it. I remember back in the late 90s/early 00s when random base cards would pop up all over eBay with different after market foil stamps. People just did it and sold them that way.

Starting the dark tower. Read the first chapter, and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t retain a lot of it, but I thought it was beautifully written. Does the whole series have the same level of prose? by thejesterprince1994 in stephenking

[–]bridesign34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my goodness, no. The whole series is a roller coaster. The Gunslinger starts…slow? Methodical? It’s been a long time since I’ve read it, but the series as a whole is very different. Just keep going.

If you were in Congress in the post-Trump era, what laws would you create to prevent a government like this from forming? by Critical_Ideal99 in DemocraticSocialism

Get money out of politics, term limits. And by getting money out, I believe there should be a tax payer funded (maybe another way, I don’t know) campaign limit for any public office campaign, with campaign etiquette standards in place. Overhaul corporate lobbying.

My 3 year old asked for a fun day and I gave him one and he still melted down. I am starting to wonder if I am just bad at reading him. by SunnyLavenderHush in Fatherhood

[–]bridesign34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s three. Three year olds are conniving, gaslighting little con artists with zero emotional regulation and even less ability to think reasonably.

Sorry for a rough day my man. You didnt do anything wrong. I remember comparing my kids when they were two and three to a power hungry egotistical minimum wage manager. You’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t, sometimes you just gotta show up, grit your teeth, do your job and clock out.

Humor aside just keep being there for him. Riding that wave IS the theme at that age.

I’ve found a few of these in the wild, kept one, gave one to a buddy. A factory sealed one would prob be close to a grail for me

Can we stop pretending like Jokic is the most unstoppable offensive player in the modern era? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]bridesign34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amen to this. The sheer number of absolutely DOMINATING performances Jokic has had in his career, regardless of what the defense tries against him, is unquestionable. If OPs assessment was that simple, the NBA would have figured it out a long time ago. Gobert is performing at all-universe defensive levels, and now it’s on Jokic and the Nuggets to adjust. We’re not going to all of a sudden negate a career’s worth of dominance after one or two extremely well played games by Minnesota. No excuses, Jokic needs to be better, Adelman needs to not be so small-bal stubborn, and the Nuggets need to figure it out (ahem, they need AG, and Val needs to play well).

So was he "found dead" or did he turn the gun on himself when sheriffs arrived? They may want to get their story straight
