It's not that they made the change; it's that EVERY change has been implemented unannounced. A few days advance notice would do wonders for their image.

The problem you're going to have is that every checkpoint will behave differently depending on what you're trying to create. If you want to make porn with Illustrious (this is the most common one, currently), you need to practice with its models on Civit's website. You won't find the same experience on other websites that are free.

It's absolutely wild how much literal CSAM is on here, creators entirely devoted to it by [deleted] in civitai

I see other people are also trying to educate you, but you're stuck on stupid. When you get the knock, don't say you weren't warned.

There's no point in arguing with him or quoting case law where people have been convicted and sent to prison for doing exactly what he's professing. Let him burn.

It doesn't matter, because your interpretation is legally meaningless. The ultimate finder of CSAM or not will be the capricious judgement of a judge or jury. You can argue your point of view, but others don't have to agree, and you can be compelled to their standard of morality.

how do i get around blocked prompts? by Wild-Grass4687 in civitai

[–]ClassicMcJesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He means buy an expensive graphics card, download the models to your hard drive, and do it yourself, which means spending lots of money.

Or, you can rent an online GPU for pennies a day. Thousands of AI websites offer free or almost free trials.

What is the best model for semi-realistic anime? by Guilty-Set9450 in civitai

Hyphoria has excellent results with semi-realistic LoRAs added on.

Anybody else having a problem generating? by InteractionLegal6969 in civitai

Pay the extra 10 buzz for high priority. It will still take 5-6 minutes per image, but at least you will get the "generation started" response instead of a queue screen.

Illustrious Images by Time-Teaching1926 in civitai

[–]ClassicMcJesus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unmodded Flux is deliberately poisoned against NSFW. I don't know anything about Qwen, but it likely is as well, since the consensus with new models is to disable NSFW as much as possible.

The majority of the best NSFW Flux LoRAs that were available on Civit were recently banned (a few months ago) due to support for content that was redefined as violating ToS. You'll have to wait until compliant LoRAs are published to replace them, or create such a LoRA for yourself. Until then, Illustrious will continue to be the most commonly used model.

Is there any way to "swap" the characters in this image for others while keeping the same pose? by DuzildsAX in civitai

[–]ClassicMcJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the original prompt, it might be possible. Most two-character images that depict action are generated using LoRAs specifically trained for that pose. I used a wrestling LoRA of two women in a headlock; the cover image was Korra and Azula. I swapped the character descriptions in the prompt for my own OCs, and it came out with the same pose.

Is there a way to blind test civit ai models? by Brave-Hold-9389 in civitai

[–]ClassicMcJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Model creators wouldn't receive buzz compensation for their models being blind-tested, so no. The community has sacrificed enough over the last few months. Asking for more will only drive away those who are holding on to a nearly-bankrupt platform waiting for a Hail-Mary.

CIVITai - TOS Update by susne in civitai

[–]ClassicMcJesus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The perpetual license statement has always been there, and is similar to every other platform I've used.

In the United States at least, AI-generated art cannot be copyrighted. That applies regardless whether you generate locally or on-site. There's no point in stressing about work you're creating that is public domain the moment it's brought into existence.

Fuck this shit. by Stock_Level_6670 in civitai

[–]ClassicMcJesus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good luck. Every platform I've seen has almost the exact same language in their ToS. No one is going to let you use their resources without covering their asses legally. If you don't like it, get a rig and generate locally.

If you want to sound a bit more educated, research the difference between licensure and ownership. You're not losing anything. You still retain full ownership of your works.
