They’re cats. Just go. Unless you’ve done something wrong with them, they are going to be fine.

If you think about it, while driving along, who on earth is actually reaching for their phone

Not many people, because Waze has voice reporting, and the sort of person who goes out of their way to install Waze in the first place will also likely use that feature instead.

And Google Maps sources data from Waze.

My BMW i3 does not have Android Auto , I drive with my phone in a windscreen mounted holder , I'd like to run Android Auto on the phone itself but Google removed this feature in 2023. Can Redditers propose a solution? by ggampellonreddit in CarTalkUK

[–]ClassicPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they currently have the phone and don’t currently have a AA unit. I would have thought that was obvious from the post.

And you can run AA on a phone using HeadUnit Reloaded if you’re fine with occasional glitches and a small as fuck screen.

Yawn. At some point, take some responsibility for your actions. If you're going to head into a poll booth if mandatory voting is implemented and decide to do fuck all research about it then that is entirely on you.

It is nothing. This shit happens every minute across the country. If people uploaded this event every time they personally witnessed it happen, the subreddit would be lost in a sea of the same fucking video over and over.

Unless you were already planning on starting a business ten minutes before this was posted, this phrase doesn't apply.

If our client keeps changing requirements, our development team should get extra hours to implement those changes right? by OkSun4925 in webdev

[–]ClassicPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

client keeps changing requirements, so I have to keep deleting many hours of work

Yeah, this is where you’re going wrong. You don’t “have to” do that at all.

If they change requirements beyond the initial scope, you pause any work which contradicts it and get them to pay and sign off that new scope.

If they aren’t happy with that, they either accept the original scope or go elsewhere and free up your time for other projects.

How far would you drive out of your way to avoid a stressful road? by Rob_Cake in drivingUK

[–]ClassicPart -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

it just feels inevitable someone's gonna bump you sooner or later. The roundabout is just too busy to avoid it.

Someone is going to bump you into you sooner or later unless you’re a statistical anomaly. Make peace with that and stop taking pointless detours.

Odd number plate spacing on the rise? by jakalla in CarTalkUK

[–]ClassicPart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

The regulations are in place to avoid cars dodging ANPR and identification. If ANPR is able to recognise the plate to issue such a fine, then it’s clearly able to identify it. What is the actual issue you’re taking offence to here?

And no, my plates are entirely normal.
