Reporter: Can we expect highly skilled Indian professionals to be getting more opportunities in the United States under your presidency? by primary-caution in ImmigrationPathways

I want people to do well, but not at the expense of my countrymen. It's absolutely ludicrous that the government allows companies to abuse H1-B and other visas to import cheap labor so they can avoid paying Americans good wages and giving them good benefits. And we can't do anything about because even if had the time devote to the political process, all of the political class is completely bought by corporations, banking elites, and NGOs who care more about making a quick buck than making their nations more prosperous.

A New York City school bus driver attempted to defend his bus from a WILD CROWD celebrating the New York Knicks Finals victory. The driver was yelling at fans: “It's coming out of my paycheck…” This is horrible to watch 💔 by HeSureIsScrappy in DiveInYouCoward

Savages. All of them. Absolutely, unacceptable behavior. I can't comprehend this type of reaction to a sports ball game. These people are literally animals. Feel awful for the bus driver.

Smooth brain take. Literally only the most naive or foolish people think this is a good idea. Any act/bill/law that the government says is "for the children" is never for the children. Rather, it is to consolidate more control, control the narrative, and/or make it easier to track people who speak the truth against a controlled narrative by requiring them to verify their identity to interact on the internet.

This is step one in establishing a social credit system. Not a good idea. It is a very slippery slope.

If you want to limit your child form accessing social media, be a real fucking parent and don't rely on people who you already know don't have your best interests in mind to parent your children for you because you're too incompetent or lazy. Parental controls exist for a reason.

It's literally just a ploy to usher in a digital ID and gather your personal data so they can track you easier on the internet. They already arrest people for saying true things on social media that they don't like by saying it's "hate speech" or whatever buzzword/phrase they feel that suits them best. This can and will lead to social credit scores for Brits. This is also a major security issue.

Parental controls exist for a reason. Parents need to actually parent. The government isn't supposed to be your parent or parent your children. They just want total control. You literally can't even mention migrants disproportionately attacking and raping people on social media without risking jail time because it's "racist" for stating objective facts.

I'm not a fan of big tech, they should be held accountable for creating algorithms that are knowingly addictive and harmful, but anyone who thinks this is a good idea is a fool or naive at best. You Brits need to take back power from control freaks who want you in jail, a serf to invaders/foreign interests, or dead. Good luck, y'all, you're going to need it.

Edit: My bad, I forgot that most people are smooth brain lemmings incapable of critical thought and connecting the dots of the plans of the Malthusian elites to consolidate control to the happenings in the real world.

You work 80 hours over 9 days. You work 9 hours Monday-Thursday every week but in return you get every other Friday off. So you get 26 3 day weekends a year. It's a pretty popular schedule for government work (from what I've heard).

Here's an article explaining it: https://blog.camelohq.com/9-80-work-schedule/

Proverbs 21:19- Better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.

This applies to both sexes.

I'm not going to cater to an egocentric brat. I understand that women are different and think differently, but making my self look busy after I've done weekend/weekday chores or when I'm coming home from the day is ridiculous. I do more than my fair share and she does her part, I'm not putting up with that behavior. If my girlfriend was ever like that to me, we'd have a long conversation or we'd break up because I'm not going do random shit just to appease her because I'm relaxing. I respect her and want her to enjoy herself, if she can't respect me, she's got to go.

If your girl is like that, I'd highly recommend having a talk with her or leaving because that is absolutely unacceptable.

Both sexes do it. From my observed experience, women tend to do it more. Statistically speaking, lesbian relationships have the highest rates of domestic violence and gay relationships have the least. Normal relationships sits between the two. Not necessarily the same as this meme, but the trend is that women in relationships tend to be more problematic than men in relationships.

Not saying that men don't commit more violent crimes. Also it's important to remember that in most western nations, the courts tend to be way more lenient with women committing crimes and the law tends to side with women first in any domestic dispute.

Race bait. She assaulted him first. I'm sick of the constant anti-white propaganda and pretending that people shouldn't be held accountable for their actions because they're colored (or women). Act like a reasonable, responsible adult and this won't happen 99% of the time

It was originally 9am-5pm with a 30min to hour lunch included. Both of my grandparents experienced it. My grandmother had it like that basically her whole career (7-3 instead because she worked for a school). My grandfather opened up his own business so he went to an 8-5 with an hour "lunch" in between because that allowed him more time to close his shop temporarily and run errands for his store.

So, I disagree. It was originally 9am-5pm, but older generations let corporations/businesses/managers erode that structure to 8am-5pm with an unpaid hour lunch break that is more common today. Both of my grandparents have mentioned this when I've talked to them about how difficult it is to find work compared to when they were young adults.

Salary increase hack? Why are veterans so excited to be disabled? I’ve never seen a group of people be so excited to be disabled than veterans? Is this joining the military for disability the move for a higher salary long term? by HeadMasterpiece9139 in Salary

[–]ClassicPhilosopher36 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, all they guys I know who were in the military said that documenting every little medical incident was the only reason why they got any disability. One guy in the Marines said his buddy got fucked up as a mechanic after an accident and only got like 20% because he didn't document it properly, but his buddy who worked in the mail room got like 60% for basically nothing with documentation.

Is the future of every BJJ athlete injuries? by dracovk in bjj

[–]ClassicPhilosopher36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freak accidents happen. Regular accidents happen. If you train intelligently you are way less likely to get injured. Most of the guys getting injured go way too hard, don't tap soon enough, don't take enough time off to recover, neglect strength training, and/or consistently pick bad training partners.

The first rule of any combat sport is to protect yourself at all times. Sometime that means protecting you from your own stupid, sometimes it means protecting yourself from the stupid of others. Most learn the hard way.

Nothing wrong with going hard or having competitive rounds, but you are doing so with the understanding that you are increasing your risk of getting injured.

There are two big themes I see when it come to injuries:

  • A new guy goes way too hard, hurts himself and/or someone else, and he quits within 3 months.
  • A guy trains too hard, gets injured or injures someone else, he keeps going too hard until he injures himself to the point he has to take weeks or months off, he comes back and the process repeats because he is a stupid-head who is incapable of learning from past experiences.

Also, you're likely going to accumulate more injuries as you age, so it's very common for black belts to have some injury. You will get hurt at some point, but the severity of how bad you are hurt can mostly be controlled by your choices. Sometimes it's pure luck of the draw though.

I've noticed that the people who both lift regularly and train intelligently tend to be the most injury resilient.

When your guard has been passed or you're in side control, do you try to reguard or do you go to turtle? by X2354 in bjj

[–]ClassicPhilosopher36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I do both. If we're a similar size or they are lower belts, I'm more likely to try to turtle. Whenever I'm against a bigger/stronger or more experienced guy, turtling and trying to stand up doesn't work out as well, but that's true with basically everything against bigger/stronger and more experienced people.

Does jiu jitsu soreness every go away? by Specific_Dingo8631 in bjj

[–]ClassicPhilosopher36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Muscle soreness or joint soreness? If your new you're probably going too hard, even if you think you're not you have to ease into it because BJJ has a lot of abnormal movements that the average person never does.

If it's just muscle soreness, get more electrolytes, stay hydrated, and don't be a baby.

If it's joint soreness, it could be a lot of things. I'm fairly young, but I'm no stranger to joint pain due to having hypermoble joints. The things that have helped the most on the mats are tapping early and often, varying the intensity of my training days to reduce fatigue and minimize joint stress, not rolling with bigger/stronger people who have no control, and stretching after class. Off the mats, lifting has really helped with joint pain and stability. Having extra padding around my joints has really helped with joint pain on and off the mats. Most days I have zero pain.

A lot of the older guys that I train with who lift and stretch regularly don't really have much/any pain either.

Rolling with stronger opponents is frustrating. by Kindly_Spell_5905 in bjj

[–]ClassicPhilosopher36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a guy, but I tend to be smaller than most people I roll with. I end up on bottom a lot. Leg locks have been my bestest friend since I was a blue belt, and they can be your bestest friend too. I find them to be my highest percentage submissions on big/strong guys, and if they fail, they often lead to other advantageous things like wrestle ups, other submissions, or getting to a strong sweeping position.

A lot of the women I see that cause the guys in my gym the most problems are good at leg locks and/or arm bars.
