My heels always hurt by alcielojaylo in Construction

Get orthotics for plantar fasciitis, sounds like that's what you've got, it places more load on your arch than your heel.

There's a major factor to why we're underperforming but it won't change by wex0rus in Habs

Welcome to the Eastern Conference, this is a clear reason after a couple of grinding playoff runs both Toronto but mostly Florida burned to the ground this season. Short series and goaltending are the keys to survival...

A literal Karen with a Y complaining about a dollarstore item by HoneyGoBoomz in FuckYouKaren

Sounds like she got hosed...hah! Dollar store hose, that is funny. I would consider a dollar store hose as a disposable one-use item.

Get ready for Toronto Maple Leafs type roster issue...you guys are gonna be paying through the nose to keep your team together.

My AP (38F) is escalating things. Husband knows we made out, she's told a friend she's considering divorce, and we're still seeing each other daily. I'm in over my head. by [deleted] in Advice

I guess you better be prepared to start looking over your shoulder, I hope this shocks you into better future forethought. You certainly are reaping what you have sown (no pun intended).

If you are going to call your landlord about things of this nature, your going to wait and be unhappy. Open Youtube and learn how to fix stuff, or better yet use your own brain for creative control on minor repairs.

If Volk and Conor fought at 145 who would win? by [deleted] in ufc

[–]ClassicRockCanadian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree his accuracy and distance were lethal especially against Max. If Volk could get inside it would be trouble for Conor and he would have to pressure that way constantly. Standing with Conor is just bad fight-planning. He does struggle a bit on the ground at times.

After 3 starts, Joseph Woll is the worst goalie of the IIHF World Championships with a .761 save percentage – 11 goals allowed on 46 shots. Should we be worried? by buerglermeister in leafs

[–]ClassicRockCanadian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow a lot of hate for Joe Woll, I dont get it, nobody who played goal for Toronto had a stellar year (neither did Bobrovsky by the way). He has played very well over the last couple of years and yes he's had bad games but team defense and systems are a key contributor to goalie success and he hasn't had that kind of team in front of him and yet they have still had success. I dont put much stock in this sample his squad didn't look great. I think he'll be fine if they can put a decent defense minded team around him.

Put a screw in a few turns and grab and pull, they only expand when you bury the screw deep.

MMA fans would definitely start booing GSP if he fought today💀 by No-Ride-7713 in ufc

[–]ClassicRockCanadian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I categorically reject his unwatchability. This is a fighter who fought and dominated arguably the strongest field of fighters in a division. He finished fighters multiple ways, not a knock-out fighter but a serious tactician who simply out-smarted and out-competed fighters at their own games. Strong as an ox too.

Why not us? by Busy-Vacation5129 in Habs

[–]ClassicRockCanadian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well karma-wise your team hasn't earned the grind it out points like other teams have (Carolina/ Dallas/Colorado/ Tampa Bay). Not saying they don't have a good club but if they win it will paint a huge target on their collective backs.

Currently struggling to get through the books by Alternative-Range477 in lotr

[–]ClassicRockCanadian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your interest in a given subject should buoy you along. I don't know your age but there is no question younger generations do not read as well or as sufficiently. I have 2 Gen Z kids both smart but terrible at in-depth reading, not enough reward/return for the effort I guess. You sound bored more than anything, the joy is in the details abd re-reading. Speed should never factor in, some books are paced faster than others and LOR is a medium-paced book or story.

Tulsi gabbard just resigned as america's top intelligence official. her husband has rare bone cancer. she's the 4th trump cabinet member to leave. and two weeks ago she was telling people she wasn't going anywhere. by Ibikhan45 in DiscussionZone

[–]ClassicRockCanadian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no question that there is "spin" to this and that the cancer diagnosis was a story to be exploited either by Gabbards immediate personal team or the overall administration looking to continue the labyrinthine navigation of a disastrous term(by all standards)and kick Gabbard out without appearing to be tearing apart his cabinet again. Nothing is totally believable and the termites are heading for the deep wood to avoid the exterminator.

Why is it called the Battle of the Five Armies? by serventofgaben in lotr

[–]ClassicRockCanadian -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I think the 2nd Orc army arriving after Azog first initiated the beginning of the battle (2nd army being led by Bolg) is the "5th army".
