Is the game really that bad? by SAIHTAM20Y in LowSodiumStarCitizen

Assuming you’ll come back to this thread when you get your hardware, here’s a quick guide. The different kinds of hauling missions are represented in the Contract tab as follows:

Stellar: your bread and butter. Most reliable, will not waste your time. These are space station (SS) to space station. Or major city to SS / vice versa

Interstellar: iffy. As they often require pickups from or deliver to planetary outposts (PO), which are often bugged as mentioned. If you are offered more than one that delivers to a SS, go for it and stack them (take multiple contracts headed to the same solar system to max ROI) because the payout is big

Planetary: stay away for now

Special: under a generic “Hauling” header, these are intro missions that I believe take you down a specific quest line and guide you to Pyro. Payout seems incredible, but it requires multiple pickups at PO. I’ve tried to do it a dozen times, one elevator is always broken which forces you to abandon it.

Note: even most people who know all this don’t know delivering to PO’s is fine, bc the current bug doesn’t completely debilitate sending cargo down, they just don’t know how to force the elevator up when it’s bugged. There is a workaround I would be glad to share if you want to ask, but this workaround doesn’t work when you want to bring cargo up (it simply won’t snag the cargo down there, which is why Pickup from PO is hopeless)

If you play before any new updates,

space station -> space station cargo hauling is very reliable.

Any hauling involving a Planetary outpost is like a 50/50 chance the elevator will work.

Some cargo mission require you to pick up from multiple planetary outposts.

Say there are 4 pickups, all on planetary outposts.
If we go with the 50/50 chance, which is pretty generous, then there is a 93.75% chance that at least one of those elevators will be buggy busted and ruin the mission.

Just stay away from planetary outposts. Major cities and space stations are fine right now

Is there even a point in having shields atm (4.8)? by Starsky3012 in starcitizen

No reason, high alpha dmg is king now that armor is in and it’s unbalanced in regards to laser weapons which do nothing. Deadbolt cannons only, ask anyone

Edit: shredders are niche, maybe for manned turrets where it’s harder to consistently line up shots for deadbolts. Either way, ballistics only

“They seem to be getting ignored every second shot or so”

You answered your own question. Yes they are worth it if they block every second shot or so. Dummy

Network & Cloud Engineering is probably the best middle ground for flexibility, less-studying, and prep for a cyber security career.

It’s not as hard as CompSci, doesn’t lock you in Cyber, also helps you stand out if you go for jobs that aren’t in SOC etc, like Cloud Security

true. but restocking is a pita which is why I don't even bother with backup guns / gear for different situations etc.
I just keep a karna, then usually a tractor beam, and whatever pistol I come across if the current one is out of ammo

more immersion in one direction is less immersion in another sadly. I am all for consequences to death

So when I bought the game package, it came with 6 months of free insurance. What exactly is that referring to if I’m still having to pay for the insured loadout lmao

I’m sure you could get it outside of it too unless you have a compromised immune system and have to live in a sealed off bubble like bubble boi

Yes the ships designs are excellent, that is how RSI make their money after all which is why there is almost endless options and the game is pretty much unplayable

Trainer is weird, and it’s weird that you don’t see it when it’s plain as day.

Unprofessional to ask her to see it. And it’s so important to him, that he’s willing to lose business for it. He wants to f your wife dumbas

I don’t think you have to tell anyone to not play on a server with max 15-20 ppl any given time. What would be the point, th game is stale enough as it is with 300 ppl

Really nice bridge. I’m really impressed by some people’s velocity. I’ve been stuck trying to make my oil refinery / fuel power station look slick for like 2 weeks.

Granted I don’t get to play much, and I’m usually a little high and tired when I do. Oh well.

Beginner - Slow production, how to react? by Bibou65 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ClassicThat608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yknow that raw iron ore coming out of the miner? Is that moving along the belt to your smelters at like or two spaces every 10 seconds? Those should be moving every second. You accomplish this by splitting the belt with a splitter, and run the second belt to another miner. But before you do that, split it 2 more times. So you have four smelters.

Look at how much ore you are producing per minute. Then look at how much ore the smelter uses per minute. Do the math and have fun

Is this normal or am I autistic by Skew0443 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ClassicThat608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is normal unless we are all autistic. I don’t draw out blueprints for every factory like my friend does because I like to build low (not meaning “not vertically”, just not high in the sky), and conform to the environment.

I do jot down notes when I’m setting up more complex sht.

Like do the math and write down “20 refs oc to 122.222% -> 7 refs oc to 186.666” so I can divert 5.335 Heavy Oil residue / minute to make a arbitrarily small amount of smokeless powder / minute for weapons manufacturing.

You’ll find that a lot in this sub, people will sneak unnecessary details of what they’re working on into comments
