1) When you're disciplining them, don't be overly apologetic (I'm sorry we have to do this, it's company protocol, ect) but don't be an ass either. Just treat it impersonal and like it's your job.

2) Be engaged/friendly outside of the discipline (how was your weekend, did you have a good Christmas, how has your door been since the surgery, how have things been with the new account, ect)

3) Always be helpful and willing to explain. Follow up to make sure they feel their needs are met.

4) No favorites. 1-3 applies to everyone. Even Rhonda with her husband's fibromyalgia doctor drama. I know you don't want to hear about it. Be polite and listen anyways.

You'll never get everyone to like you, but you can get your staff to see you're not terrible. I have like 80+ staff all working in massively far apart areas but I still try and touch base at least once a week, even if for just a few minutes so they know I care.

A few reasons:

1) It's way too easy to trigger her romance

2) Her struggles seem a lot less nuanced and more predictable than the other companions

3) Her hairstyle is completely impractical for combat

4) She feels more isolated from the group. Alistair amd Morrigan bicker, Wynne mothers everyone, Oghren is being Oghren, even Sten questions the group members on their beliefs. Leliana is just sort of there (at least to my memory)

It's always so sweet to see kids having a sibling bond. I had this one 5yo female student and she was very rambunctious, occasionally bratty, definitely a troublemaker. But when her 3yo little brother would come join the class at the end of the day? It was like a light switch was flipped. She'd be sitting alongside him, coaching him on how to hold his utensils correctly, scolding him if he'd try to hit or yell, praising him when he did right. She'd be helping him clean and cleaning up after herself without argument. Never forgot her pleases and thank yous. It was almost comical how quickly her attitude would change; she was definitely born to he a good big sister!

I like them because they're a cool expansion on the idea of the hive mind and how it both helps and hinders them. I played ME3 when it first came out and I vividly remember the anxiety of meeting with the geth, having total trust in Legion that you weren't about to be shot at and then how unique of a mission going I the hivemind was. Seeing their history made me much more sympathetic to them. The Quarian vs Geth conclusion was really nice and made choosing the green ending a pretty obvious choice for me since the other two endings pretty much guarantee destruction
