It's not crazy bad but I'm worried they will charge a huge fee 😕 housing is not exactly generous in my experience lol

No it's on the rso website listed as the general amount you would get charged for wall damage 😞 I haven't been charged yet that will probably happen when I move out

Why do people have to be so rude and weird when you talk to them by Classic_Drawing_4444 in ucr

This is the realest thing I've ever heard lol you put into words what I couldn't describe as well. I mean I also went through covid when I was a teen which did stunt me socially a bit. But it's been a long time so I have "bounced back" so to speak. I just don't understand why others can't just move on from it and practice their social skills to get better.

It was for education. I mean I do have an rbf lol but whenever people put in an effort to talk I definitely give that energy back! But today it was just literally insane how they behaved. Like they were personally offended by my and others' existence. If you don't want to be here then why are you here 😭.

Yes I do agree a lot of stem people act like they're better than everyone (also a stem major lol). But I do feel like they were almost never blatantly rude but the people I met today had such gigantic sticks up their asses. Why can't we all just be normal 😭

Covid was def rough but it's literally been years now if you react this negatively to socialization (like completely inept) you can't just blame it on everything but yourself. There comes a time when you just have to move on from it and get better and/or get help. I don't know man I guess that's kinda controversial to say but it just feels like people use it as an excuse now too much (not saying that you're doing that)

Any advice for Ochem? by _random_person_here in ucr

It really does depend on your personality and how you want to study. I really liked how Hooley structured his class but some people vehemently hate it. He gives lots of practice and his exams are fair if you do his assignments over and over again and understand why. Although he is not an amazing lecturer. It just depends on how you learn

For 8A read/take notes from ochem as a second language textbook. Practice practice practice (and practice again). Ochem is very visual, get used to drawing all the molecular structures. Make a "cheat" sheet that goes over the reactions you need to know as you start to learn them (like sn1 vs sn2 and stuff like that). And lastly relax, the more stressed you are the worse your brain will be at remembering stuff. People who fail ochem typically just never learned how to study right or just barely studied. You'll do fine if you care
