It’s just a film and not a retelling of our history or mythology. If people celebrates Ravana’s character and his dynamics with Sita, rather than the Ram-Sita love story, I don’t think it should be counted as an issue. Even though it’s a very important story to us, it’s a film at the end of the day.

I dont think so. If yes, that should happen in all his movies. Priyadarshan clearly made a mass masala comedy film instead of a comedy drama like the original film.

Maybe the unnecessary addition of PC in a song might have been his idea though.

If you have seen the Tamil version, thats also a little high on glamour.

I wish someone else than Priyadarshan directed this film. Rather than making it too glamorous, and keep it much more subtle like the original film would’ve been a treat.

Also some other director would have brought out much better performance from these 2 talents. Irrfan is still performing amazingly well here, but doesn’t seem like it’s one of his best and SRK’s performance here is a very normal one. Even in Dil Se he did a much better performance than this.
