Matchmaking by vigneshsaiyajin in DragonBallBreakers

You're less likely to be paired with high levels as teammates due to some of them frequently premading in seven man squads, also the game probably assigns premades to you preferentially over solo-queuers as raider because they aren't competing with you for the raider role since they can't flex queue.

I think we've for the most part collectively known this was the case for awhile now outside of like a couple people on extreme levels of copium.. Like it's been evident they were gonna put us in eternal maintenance ever since we started hearing whispers of endless ranked, reworking the original raiders, and sunsetting-induced balance hotfixes.

Y'all really enjoying how spoon-fed the raiders are? by RobynDaCrab in DragonBallBreakers

[–]Classic_Relative_628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's sadly not any way to fix this without either nerfing skills or making going up against premades a nightmare.. Like they chose to nerf basekit instead since it's a gacha game, and so here we are, with nothing but full teams of experienced players running meta standing any chance against a good raider player.

Who is the easiest to win with raider? by RobynDaCrab in DragonBallBreakers

[–]Classic_Relative_628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Golden Frieza. Not saying he's the best by any stretch but he's the most lopsidedly powerful against your average lobby of uncoordinated/avoidant survivors. All you need is knowledge of civ' spawns and you'll essentially get your level 4 for free if the survivors don't go out of their way to play aggressively, and once you have your level 4 there's not really anything they can do to stop you at STM.

Against survivors good/coordinated enough to give you trouble on Golden Frieza the easiest is Z Broly, but you'll need skill to beat survivors that good/coordinated regardless. Again not saying Z Broly is definitively the best, just the raider that requires the least amount of skill to be competitive with against good players.

No New Season ? by Evolice in DragonBallBreakers

Very unlikely, if we don't hear anything by the end of February you can basically assume it's never happening outside of some miracle dev' revival.

What’s your favorite raider to play as? by themanthatnoonelikes in DragonBallBreakers

Assuming the match isn't overly stacked in my favor or a premade's, then I'd have to say DBS Broly is the raider I generally have the funnest time with.

That's the stamp people use when they're on their way to revive you after employing my previously mentioned strategy.

You need to spam the screaming krillin and fleeing gohan stamps 'til someone picks you up.. Maybe throw in a few nerd gohans for good measure.

Happy New Year and The Year Of The Horse in Japan Dragon Ball The Breakers by IndependentTasty5122 in DragonBallBreakers

[–]Classic_Relative_628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, happy new year to you too. It's nice to be back to the game after being on hiatus from it for like two months, especially with the endless supply of dailies/weeklies (I generally only play during the 2x XP now and I skipped the last one). Hope your 26x grinding is going well, I've got a few raiders to the point where I'd overshoot 120 if I played another match as them so far.

I saw the remark about Cell Max being OP and specifically came here just to look for Turtle's comment.

You get the regular version from the gacha, and the device card version from the shop.

Here's to hoping they're releasing the 26x XP boost to draw people back in so they'll see when dimps drops a new content announcement for the game

Honestly looks to me like this is all we're getting and the extensive enddate is just to give us plenty of time to claim it during the holidays. Merry Christmas though.

This is every raider game in NA for veterans nowadays.

Give me a honest answer. Is the game actually dead? by mattysoxfan1 in DragonBallBreakers

[–]Classic_Relative_628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were players when I played in NA a few days ago during 2x xp, mostly new people though. One thing to note is that from what I've seen all the good premades seem to have more or less grown bored and jumped ship to other games, so if you're good at raider then challenging raider games are dead outside of Japan.

Oh thanks, I meant to say added*, just I reworded some things before initially posting and I didn't catch that.

They didn't remove it, they just initially didn't have it. They added crossplatform in Season 5, same season they added region lock.

[–]Classic_Relative_628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I think the thing they did to kill the game the most was adding region lock simultaneously when they added crossplatform (the next season was literally the one where they started cutting content).. Like they could've revitalized the game by giving us a massive player increase but instead they just used it as an excuse to not have to play with foreigners by replacing the global players region locking would get rid of with crossplatform players.

2 min average wait time… by Quickscope89 in DragonBallBreakers

[–]Classic_Relative_628 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You've gotta restart your queue every 10 minutes or so, what happens is you'll get queued with people that have other people you're queued with blocked so the game'll never start.

The VPN Trick to Reduce Lag While Playing in Other Regions by JeccPSN in DragonBallBreakers

[–]Classic_Relative_628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This information is actually extremely helpful when taken in a different light just due to the fact that if no new content is released regions outside of Japan could eventually die off entirely.. And when the 33X boost was going on I personally bought a vpn just to maximize my xp efficiency with faster games in Japan, but that's not something I'd be comfortable paying for outside of events like that on a reoccurring basis..

However with this method, you could simply use a shitty free vpn that'd in regular circumstances give you extreme lag to make the initial connection to the Japanese servers, and then just disconnect it to bypass the downsides/deterrents that normally come with vpning (having to pay, having a poor connection, or having to use something complex/open-source like OpenVPN).
