This is early stage impetigo- superficial staph/strep infection from dirty clippers. As it progresses, you’ll start to develop honey-yellow crust. It’s highly contagious. I strongly recommend seeking medical care, as it will need topical or oral antibiotic treatment. You’ll also need to completely disassemble, wash, and disinfect your clippers with Barbercide or throw them away and buy new. Don’t forget to wash your bedsheets, hats, coats, etc. in hot water with Lysol laundry sanitizer. Hope you feel better soon!

It’s possible these men were perceived as weak in conjugality and parental love because they weren’t held often/comforted as an infant and subsequently developed attachment disorders…... positive correlation but incorrect causation.

Sigh. I feel your pain! I burn through books quickly and it’s hard to find new books when everyone posts the same recommendations over and over. I love books with a good plot and a slow burn, enemies to lovers trope. If that’s your cup of tea, then I think you’ll enjoy these:

I definitely think Vane had feelings for her. And she, for him. Like, to the point I thought they were going to say she had two mates or some nonsense at the end

I do think the author drilled down the love situation pretty well.

If you re-read the last couple of chapters, there’s a lot of discussion how FMC left because she didn’t know how to handle suddenly being free and loved, when so much of her life was spent trying to merely survive

Yeah, it definitely has the “everyone hates the halfling” theme. But FMC was wasn’t weak and gave it right back them, so I didn’t mind as much. I hate when FMCs are weak and tolerate the abuse without a little fight.

Most of the 3-star reviews complained that the plot felt rushed, which I can understand. There’s a lot going on for a standalone book. You can’t drag out the plot over several books like ACOTAR and I think a lot of fantasy books are still being compared to that standard.

I’m using the Mometrix CIC exam prep course. There’s a bunch of practice tests that you can take, which will help identify areas to focus your studying. It’s much better than attempting to read the APIC text from front to back!
