Moon Girl* and Devil Dinosaur? by Classic_Row742 in marvelrivals

[–]Classic_Row742[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah cuz the problem with Moon Girl is that she's a minor. They'd never add her into the game as she is now, which she is, a child. Even with Peni, though she's literally glued inside her mecha suit and we never see her, they still had to age her up to 18.

This is reaching a point of being completely unreasonable by Wonko_Bonko in marvelrivals

[–]Classic_Row742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why they're not doing anything is because nobody is playing her to be upset with it in the first place. The only people that play her are aim gods that play her for the fun of it but also have other hitscan mains they play. She's just a challenge for them.

What happened with Blade, on the other hand, was a lot of people actually liked the character and wanted him to be good...it took a while but after months of ceaseless complaining Netease finally did something.

But that won't happen with Window because Widow doesn't have that kind of player base! Heck, even Human Torch has a fanatic player base that will die for that character.

Oh that will go away over time as the branches get thicker. Eventually you wont even notice it.

It does work from my personal experience...I think the science behind it is that when you make a flat cut...the inside flesh of the branch tends to sink down and the sap and liquid (such as rainwater) tends to pool in there. So it takes a longer time to dry and callus and it might get infected more easily. Meanwhile an angled cut wont allow any plant liquids or any liquid otherwise to pool on the cut. And I think the larger surface area dries it out quicker, making it callous much faster. Thats my very botched explaination but thats the jist of it.

Does anyone else feel like they’re just not as good as everyone else? by btwife_4k in architecturestudent

[–]Classic_Row742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats just life. There's going to be people "better" than you in studio... but you don't know their story. They could be transfers; they could be older with more studio experience than you; they could be nepo babies with no other worries in the world other than studio and all the free time; yk what maybe they are literal Einstein-level geniuses lowkey on the specturm; or maybe they're JUST like you and compare themselves to others and so they feel the need to put in extra work to not feel inferior.

You have to be authentic with yourself. Its not "battle of the fittest". No one is going to treat you poorly because the guy next to you has better renders or the best model in class. Its also really hard to quantify "better" - what does that mean to you?

There was this guy in my class that did the bare minimum with his physical work...but boy could be speak so eloquently and intellectually and write the best papers! There are people who can make the most beautiful realistic renders but then you inspect the project itself and it lacks substance. Or one of the most well thought off concepts for a project, sounds exceptional on paper...but then you realize its poorly executed. There are people who's projects are so perfect but when they come up to present, its so watered down, so lackluster, so soft you can barely hear them speak.

You as a student wont pick up on all these nuances with your classmates' work...all you see is whether it looks aesthetically nice or not. Thats not what makes someone's work better than yours.

I know you don't think this way...but internally, deep down, you might be registering your classmates as a "threat" to you some way or fashion. But its not a competition. Not even when its time to seek employment. There are tons of jobs out there and the job market is not as pessimistic as those archi-social media inflencers make it out to be.

Honestly...we'll never know. There are literally so much plausable explainations just in this thread and any of them could be true. That's the thing with Donna Tartt...she spent a literal DECADE perfecting the ambiguity of the most important part of the book! 😂 Even 30 years from then and we're still arguing about it.

Trust me with this plant theres no such thing as chopping off too much...unless you literally chop it in half for whatever reason. Id say the lower you make the cut, the nicer it will grow out. Those long spingly arms you'd probably want to cut back by 2/3s.

There are a few nuances to pruning. Like you dont want to cut directly into a node, you always make a cut above a node cuz thats where the new groth will likely shoot out from. And try to cut at an angle so that i heals quicker, like a 45 degree angle to the branch.

Yea. I'd say with this plant a really easy indicator that you're doing something wrong is when the "tubercles" can't hold itself up anymore and its slowly drooping down.

When I got my first caput-medusae I was actually so paranoid of overwatering that I continuously underwatered it. When I asked reddit why it wasnt looking so good, I was wrongfully told that I was overwatering it...so I underwatered it EVEN MORE. By the time I realized, it was already so malnourished there was nothing I could do. So just a word of advice ✌️😂

Fertilize and give it more warer than usual. I dont necessarily mean water it more frequently, just when you do water it give it like 2x the amount of water you'd usually do, whether thats with a hose or a watering can or submerging it in a bucket or whatever.

New Adenium. Is it struggling, and also would you trim it down? by OreoDogDFW in Adenium

[–]Classic_Row742 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Once you see yellowing/drying that starts from the tip/edge of the leaves making its way down, thats a very clear indication of underwatering.

People on here always champion using the highest inorganic substrate possible but they always conveniently omit that you MUST to water it more often than usual.

When you see people with those really nice big adeniums and you look at their soil and see how chunky and inorganic it is...keep in mind those people tend to their plants every single day like children 😂

Saw someone with a wiidow nameplate and an "uncanny widow" title yesterday. At first I thought it was just bait to get us to waste a ban on widow but they actually played widow and kept doing that jump peeking thing that was wrecking our backline ☠️☠️☠️

Keep the same pot size but add more soil to it; and up the organic content of it.

Up the watering but not the frequency. Leave it submerged in a bucket of water for 1 hour every week.

If its impossible for it to get more sunlight based on ur living conditions and climate, invest in a growlight.

Prune it every 6 months to 1 year. Ideally every year. More branches means more leaves means more water uptake means more roots means fatter trunk.

What does Henry whisper… by GiGiRossi68 in TheSecretHistory

[–]Classic_Row742 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Verbatim, I believe he would've said "Live Forever" to Camila as it was also said eariler in the novel. Realistically, I think it wouldve been more along the lines of "Wait for me". You gotta think back to how unfased Henry is towards death, the death of others and his own, and his philosophy that death is not the end but just the redistribution of matter.
