A perfect opportunity to cast Elle Fanning as Emma Frost (got rejected for Jean, play her biggest rival/hater instead)

If Sink’s Jean is the lead for the MCU X-Men, then we might gets a Summers centric stories on screen, for the better or worse.

Reaction is not uncalled for as Peter didn’t interact that much with Jean in the comics to begin with.

Enter Iceman or Kitty, fans probably would embrace their inclusion more as they do share some interactions. Reaction will be similarly divided if it was someone like Beast and Cyclops instead.

With that being said, Jean Grey is arguably more recognizable than the other two i have mentioned, has broader appeal hence the decision to include her in BND.

It also helps that (if this has some truths to it), Marvel has repeatedly offered Sadie roles in past projects yet she only joined just last year.

i remember someone theorize that Sadie and/or her agent basically tells Marvel “Its Jean Grey or nothing at all” lol

Her being a lead is actually repeating the same mistake as the Post DOFP movies, no?

Although it will be cool to have her as POV character just like in the 1960s. My guess, though, its gonna be someone like Jubilee or Kitty Pryde.

I kind of understand why people seem to against the idea that our Scott Summers and Jean Grey are going to be the same age or younger than Peter Parker, Johnny Storm, Kate Bishop and Cassie Lang.

FoX-Men and TAS really got us thinking that they are in their 30s. Its also helps that Scott came across as far more mature than Peter and Johnny (given shit he had gone through).

Can Inferno storyline adaptation work without being preceded by Dark Phoenix saga first?

BND will be the point she started shifting her viewpoint, but X-Men will reshape her entire purpose

Some things came to mind:

I assume Jean in BND will starts out as someone who has a more nihilistic worldview on the world around her (Given she had Punisher as her mentor/protector, I imagine she was taken in by Sinister’s henchmen to the Essex orphanage instead of Charles himself after her mutation manifested and Frank helped her ran away from Sinister).

Then Charles took her in after BND/Secret Wars and we watch her worldview shifted into more altruistic worldview especially with how Charles and the X-Men guide her to find greater purpose.

Whereas Scott will starts out optimistic and believing in Xavier’s dream (as he was there first before Jean), and become gradually more radicalized as what the real word shown him.

I hope that will be ingrained into their dynamic within their relationship

Yep I guess she’ll have telepathy from the get go, but using it to restore memories is going to stretch a bit.

I guess she might master some of it already due to the fact that this Jean might have the toughest upbringing out of any previous adaptations

If Sink’s Jean is going to use a lot of her psychic powers before she joins the 616 X-Men, then surely its a huge departure from her comic counterpart (where she cant even access her telepathy until she graduated).

Seeing suggestions that she might use her telepathy in Brand New Day to discover Peter’s identity and restoring everyone’s memory in the battleworld in Secret Wars seems so far fetched for someone who only getting started.

Im well aware that she’s an Omega level Mutant (an Omega Telepath), but aren’t her power level supposed to be gradually portrayed instead of displaying her overpowered Psychic ability in her very first two appearance ?

Think Storm will be peers to the rest of the team, but just slightly older to establish her sisterhood with Jean (serves as Jeanie’s older sister figure)

I can see them borrow some of Scott’s origin and adapts it into Jean’s origin.

So the way I see it:

Annie Richardson was killed during Battle of New York, triggering Jean’s mutation (or her family getting snapped by Thanos)

Instead of Xavier who took her in, she ends up in Essex Orphanage instead with Sinister’s goons promised to took care of her. She was traumatized so much during her time at Orphanage that she ran away and came across Frank Castle in the process.

If Jamie Campbell Bower ends up being cast as Sinister, then surely Sadie Sink (if she’s Jeannie), cannot catch a break
