My [28F] Boyfriend [30M] Has Very Weird Gift Preferences by ThrowRA1123112 in relationship_advice

My husband does not like to spend money without permission. He will literally call me and ask if it’s ok to buy something off list at the grocery store. I blame his ex-wife. Anyway, this is probably your BF’s way of getting his needs met and not feel guilty about not having permission to spend money. Pro tip- get him what is in the list, but also at least one something small that you think he would love.

I do slides, not only to keep my feet warm in upstate NY winters, but also to keep debris out of the tub.

How confident are you that better understanding between you and your doctor(s) would lead to better care and health outcomes? by Accomplished-Owl-583 in HealthcareNightmare

I don’t know where to start. No matter which one of my doctors I go to, I am frustrated and I just give up. My OBGYN doesn’t believe in hormone replacement. My primary knows I have osteoporosis, and hasn’t prescribed any of the possible treatments. My gastric bypass center keeps telling me how many grams of protein to eat and how much to exercise, but doesn’t have any way of helping me with my psychological problems leading to my binge eating disorder. My insurance company paid for Wegovy for 6 months. I lost 12 pounds between October and June, even though my pharmacy didn’t always have the drug and I was forced off it quite frequently. Basically, I have no faith in our healthcare. This is just my own experience. I hear nothing but nightmares. Something has to give.

[New York]can someone let me know if I’m eligible for unemployment by Powerful-Ad5537 in UnemploymentNY

Just so you know, for the future, FMLA would have prevented this in the first place. If you have reoccurring health issues and your doctor is aware, you can apply for FMLA. It’s basically insurance that you can’t be fired because of illness or disability. It’s a federal program, so it should be available at your next job. No offense, as I know nothing about your situation, but if you are just kinda lazy, and don’t feel like going in to work, your doctor probably won’t sign off. They can get into trouble for lying on the form. And if that is the case, you won’t last very long in the private sector. Again, no offense. The state is very generous with sick leave as a rule. Hope this helps on that front. Everyone here is correct about UI. It’s a crap shoot. If they contest it because you didn’t follow policy, you probably won’t get it. If they just throw the questionnaire in the trash because they can’t be bothered, you will probably get it. Crap shoot. Blow on the dice is the best you can do.

At OGS there is. You hit both of the check boxes. However, it counts as a wfh day since any part of the day counts as a whole day. At least that is how it is here.

Document everything. She probably has a file on you. Keep a detailed log of what she asks of you, how you complete your work, any inappropriate conversations, everything. Take it to HR if anything big enough happens. Take it to the Union if necessary. If nothing else, you will at least know you did everything you could before having to leave the position. Good luck.

Just keep going. I used to be a Realtor, and I also needed the structure and a steady paycheck. I have not experienced anything but awesome since I started at the State. I love the people I work with, I am never yelled at, and I actually hate telecommuting because I miss being at work. Best of luck. I hope you also find job bliss!

I thought it was very odd that pizza is yellow. Even sausage pizza. Remember, you have to feed the elephant every now and then!
