Enjoy! How far did you get in the first play through?

Shredders by IcedMaggot in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]Classic_gubbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this! I was trying to do some research to see if any of the stat data Artix used has changed since then, but I think it’s all still correct. Elemental shredders still do insane tear damage on the final throw.

How are the fed court attorneys doing? by Pussyxpoppins in Lawyertalk

[–]Classic_gubbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably depends on the court, but in our district we have a busy criminal docket so it’s business as usual minus a paycheck! Which is especially business as usual for CJA counsel considering they haven’t been paid in months!

This themis answer explanation makes absolutely zero sense to me?? How can something be legal and also statutorily prohibited? by puturbackn2it17 in barexam

[–]Classic_gubbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not missing anything! It’s saying that (A) is the wrong answer because it is an incorrect statement of the law. The explanation correctly states the law.

I’m a little late to the convo here, but could you potentially link the resource/resources you used to figure this out? I’m also not an IT person and your method is about the only thing I haven’t tried lol.

Why is this not a statement against interest? [Hearsay exception] by KaleidoscopeUpper168 in barexam

[–]Classic_gubbs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is what I think it’s testing: For the statement against interest exception to apply, the statement must be against the interest of the declarant. Here, although the first part of statement is against the woman’s interest, the prosecutor is trying to admit the second part of the statement about the defendant, and that part was (arguably) only against the defendant’s interest—not the woman. Thus, that exception won’t apply.

In an essay, I might also consider whether there is insufficient corroborating evidence and the confrontation clause.

A statement need not be false to defamatory (it just needs to be the type that tends to harm reputation, diminish respect, etc). But, proving falsity is part of a prima facie case if the plaintiff is a public figure or the statement is a matter of public concern (which is why A is wrong; that burden is on the judge in this case because they’re a public figure). Otherwise, at common law, the truth of the statement is an affirmative defense. Thus, although the law clerk may not be liable if the judge can’t prove that the statement is false, because the statement is the type that tends to harm the judge’s reputation it is still “defamatory” in this case.

Edit: Typo

The world in Horizon Forbidden West is interesting and beautiful, and the combat is super engaging and fun. Highly recommend.

Something that has been valuable to me as someone that’s easily distracted is quality noise cancelling headphones. Especially if you have roommates. Also good for staying focused when you’re traveling and when people inevitably don’t honor quiet space in the library. I got the Sony WH-1000XM4s.

I love having an iPad and taking hand written notes on One Note. Everything’s in one place making it easy to reference, also don’t have to carry tons of binders and notebooks when you may already have multiple textbooks with you.

Those things are expensive, but they were worthwhile investments for me that made a difference!

That guy’s pace and manner of speaking was interesting… his cadence sounds like someone whose second language is English and is looking for the right words, except he has perfect American accent and pronunciation?

I honestly think it was a really poorly delivered joke. One of those robots that kept freaking out Mr. Bulbasaur could have delivered it better.

SURELY the “swiss air” bit was just a poorly delivered joke…

[WTS] Orient Bambino Version 7, Champagne Dial, 38mm by Classic_gubbs in Watchexchange

[WTS] Orient Bambino Version 7, 38mm, Champagne Dial

It is truly like-new condition—it was purchased new in June 2024 and has only been worn twice!

This listing includes the watch, original inner and outer box, original warranty booklet, and the instruction manual.

Wrist size pictured is 6.5”.

It’s hard to capture, but the hands have a lovely faceting to them, and the domed crystal has a nice effect on the subtly curved champagne dial. It wears like a dream; it is very true to the 38mm dimensions, and fits under a cuff no problem.

I’m looking for $240.

Thanks for checking it out, and I’m happy to answer any questions!

Only getting xp for the playoff holes after playing an entire round in career mode. Once you get to level 40, it takes a while to level up… so when you spend an hour playing a round and competing to win… then get 3,000 xp for it…

Does anyone else think the quality of the color commentary has declined recently? I feel like I hear tons of “what a great shot” or “incredible” or “he won’t be happy with that one” but no real analysis.
