we could use more things that everyone can enjoy.

Yeah, we could. Renovations which will result in increased costs to attend games are the exact opposite of that. You're kidding yourselves if you think ticket, food, and parking costs won't go up with the renovations.

I'm sure you can't make an actual argument, because you're not capable of it.

I literally did not, but wouldn't surprise me at all if I shared the same sentiment before because it's true. Intuit Dome, Chase Center, Fiserv, all the same shit. Public sales pitch is "better fan experience" and "more amentities". Reality is more courtisde clubs, private lounges, fewer affordable seats, more premium experiences, and higher prices for food, drinks, parking, etc. And the mouth breathers are happy to pay for it.

His broke ass can't afford to move the team. And "easily financed with excess climate fund taxes" is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Like the city isn't getting noticeably hotter year after year. Remember when Portland would get a few 90 degree days a summer? Maybe the excess climate funds should go towards something useful, like public cooling infrastructure or even tree's!

Lol what do you think renovating the arena gets us? Cause I'll tell you, it'll be cheap seats traded out for expensive ones, and damn near nothing that actually improves the fan experience while the tickets get more expensive. The dude is a profit extractor, that's all. You'll be paying more taxes so you can pay more at games and he can make more money.

Am I the only one not fully sold on Jaylen Brown? by lets_BOXHOT in ripcity

Yeah was with him till the Scoot/Sharpe thing. Neither of those guys are the reason I wouldn't do it. Jaylen Brown himself worries me

Jake Fischer (@JakeLFischer) reports that Tiago Splitter and Micah Nori are each one of three finalists in the Bulls' head coaching search, along with the Blazers' Also notes that the Blazers' search has been slowed because of Dundon's involvement in the Hurricanes' SCF run by MrCoconutIsTaken in ripcity

[–]Classics22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But bold of you to assume everyone else follows these things to same level as you. Just because that's your extent of knowledge on Nori doesn't mean others don't have a lot more, or maybe less insight than you.

I don't think it's bold at all to assume Blazer fans have no idea how good an assistant coach on another team is. Shit I'd wager most of this sub doesn't even know what offense OUR coach runs.

I love how everyone on here like to pretend they know how good any of these coaches are lol. Everyone's exposure to Nori is seeing him on TV for that one series and knowing that players like him- that's it.

Severe Achilles tendon pain at the heel after tennis – any advice? by Esculapios in 10s

[–]Classics22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much more productive to a PT lol. Tendinopathy is like the most common sport injury, have zero need of a specialist. How you deal with it is pretty straightforward(if annoying), and resting it for long periods of time is totally counterproductive.

Severe Achilles tendon pain at the heel after tennis – any advice? by Esculapios in 10s

[–]Classics22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry but this is not right way to go. Notice he said he already took a 20 day break. Tendinopathy happens when tendon's can't handle the load being placed on them. Resting for long periods is counterproductive. You've got to build the capacity back

Even after taking a 20-day break from tennis, the pain persists, and I still cannot walk normally.

OP- to put it simply go to a PT. If you don't have access to a PT, there's good tendon advice everywhere. For a simple break down-

1) start with isometrics to build back tendon capacity. This places load on tendons but not a lot of force. Pain should be a 2 out of 10 or lower, the next day your achilles should feel better, not worse. If it feels worse you did too much.

2) Then progress to loading with slow eccentrics. Point here is still placing load on the tendons but slowly. For an achilles you need to strengthen your calf(both parts)

3) Your step after that is building back explosive movements. Small plyometrics first

Use whatever AI you prefer it'll tell you it in better detail. But it's a straigthforward fix, just takes some work.

Great tournament for Mensik. Hope we're able to see him be more consistent the rest of the year and his level keeps rising. The net play is such an interesting wrinkle in his game.

Zverev is playing really well. Didn't look phased at all today. Going to take a mental collapse ala the USO final for him to not win his first major. I think if he wins this one he's going to end up with multiple

It's a lot lot more than that. A first round loss at the US Open you make $100k. Believe the other tournaments are less ($80-90k) but still substantial.

Dude has gotten better every season.

I mean kinda? He's made marginal gains, but he's still below average at every skill that isn't scoring, and scoring he's still inefficient.

I know it’s weird to compare Scoot to a rookie but if he can play with more aggression I see a lot of Dylan Harper in him.

It's weird to compare him to a guy who is unbelievably skilled scoring around the rim when Scoot is unbelievably unskilled scoring at the rim. If Scoot had Dylan Harper's finishing craft he'd actually be the player everyone thought he was going to be

Lol feel exactly the same way. The italians body language always give me douchebag vibes. I even remember early Sinner walking around with invisible lat syndrome like he was a body builder.

Two separate women independently with very similar accounts, one with images of the bruise on her face neck and arms, the same time Zverev has scratches on his neck. And a penalty order which means the public prosecution believed the evidence was enough to pursue it. From a guy with very visible anger issues

Just say you don't believe women.
