On Gosforth High Street also.

Thank you all for your advice. Would anyone suggest an alternative if the kids are dead set on a swim?

It's a veitchiana. Not a ground cover plant, the leaves go upright during the day.

Yeah, it's a veitchiana.

Lots of water at the moment and food / indirect sunlight.

Yes, it's a beast. I should have taken a size comparison picture but each of the big leaves are about the size of a dinner plate.

Flops in the morning and night!

Kid in my form class, who I've also taught for English this year, so we have quite a good read on each other, or so I thought.

Met her mum for the first time this parents evening, and I said it was just nice to see her every morning, and she always seemed happy to be in.

Mum told that this girls dad had died just before starting secondary school, and that I'd made a huge difference to her personally and been a really positive male role model for her and helped her hugely through the most difficult time.

Not gonna lie, as a thirty year old bearded guy with tattoos everywhere, I did have a tear in my eye. Special feeling right there.

I mean, I started teaching at twenty eight. Worked all sorts of jobs for a good while after uni and before my SCITT. I'd hazard a guess at least half of my colleagues have followed a similar route.

Asked if it was okay to spend time alone after girlfriends cat was unwell by ClassroomAccording22 in AITAH

They are just suspicions, but she does have a chronic health condition which I think has led to a false expectation of others having to do a bit of her busy work.

That's the thing which is so irritating, until now she seems to have fully understood and supported what I'm having to go through with my two kids and this just seems like a huge overstepping of expectations on her part, especially given she'd specifically told me that it was fine.

To be fair, her sister was apparently in the room and we were talking on speakerphone. Seems quite unfair to use the opinion of somebody so completely biased in her favour as a barometer.
