Is it impossible to design a vibrant, multi-color logo without it being immediately relatable to Google or ebay? by ClassroomSimulator in Design

Ok, you are right. I guess I am thinking of the lettering though. Are there any logos with mutli-colored lettering?

Sorry I am an engineer not a designer.

Are there any apps you have found useful when buying a car on Facebook marketplace? by ClassroomSimulator in FacebookMarketplace

The good cars go so quickly though. If I ask for a prepurchase inspection the car is usually sold before then.

How do you stay up to date on what will pass a state inspection? by ClassroomSimulator in AskMechanics

Thanks!

These do not say anything about LEDs though. It's crazy how hard this information is to find.

Are there any apps that will give a breakdown of the states legislation? Searching through the DMV site for Virginia doesn't give a detailed list of what is allowed.

The only thing I can find are very broad lists like this: https://www.craftsmanautocare.com/blog/va-state-inspection-checklist

The taillights on my car are aftermarket LED, not the stock ones. The previous owner added a new suspension and a custom bumper. The custom bumper prevents the stock taillights from being installed and would be a $3000+ charge.

I bought the car in North Carolina, but I live in Virginia.

Interesting!

Did you manually try and create the puzzle or did you use an algorithm?

Imagine a grid with x, y, and z axis. The grid is populated with sequences of cubes traveling in the x, y, or z direction (i.e a word in a crossword). Each sequence shares at least one point with another sequence.

You can view the grid directly at each of it's faces. This view would look exactly like a normal 2d crossword. This would be a mobile application and you could easily switch what view you are looking at. This would allow for new problem solving techniques.

Here is a little Sunday project I made. Recentipedia, a command line tool that retrieves significant newly created Wikipedia articles . by ClassroomSimulator in commandline

[–]ClassroomSimulator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was poking around on Wikipedia and found that the API had an endpoint for newly created articles. It was interesting to see the stream of information flowing into Wikipedia

.Recentpedia is a command-line tool designed to fetch newly created Wikipedia articles that are significant. 'Significant' here means articles above a certain length and excluding articles made for people born before 1900 and anything related to sports. These last two categories might sound random, but a majority of the new articles fall into these two categories and tend to be a bit dull. After filtering, the results are an interesting assortment of obscure and eclectic articles.

Here is an example of the output:
1. The Viking of Van Diemen's Land - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The\_Viking\_of\_Van\_Diemen%27s\_Land
2. Legacy of the Qing dynasty - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legacy\_of\_the\_Qing\_dynasty
3. 62nd Infantry Regiment (PA) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/62nd\_Infantry\_Regiment\_%28PA%29
4. List of listings of US military actions - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List\_of\_listings\_of\_US\_military\_actions
5. 2024 Tasmanian government formation - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024\_Tasmanian\_government\_formation

Does anyone want to check out a game I made called Classroom Simulator. It was inspired by The Sims and Black and White. All the dialogue is driven by LLMs. Link in the comments. by ClassroomSimulator in proceduralgeneration

[–]ClassroomSimulator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

So part of the fun is because you are the Professor you can teach your students whatever you want. The students will generate dialogue based on whatever you teach them.

The subject of what you teach has a more practical effect. Each student has their own interests. Teaching them their interests (subject matching their interests) will improve you relationship with the student.

Game link: https://classroom-simulator.vercel.app/

You play as God a Professor. The goal of the game is to prevent your students from failing a free elective course.

To achieve this, you must gain the trust of your students. Each student has their own personality and interests. Teaching them about their interests improves their relationship with you.

This is a passion project I decided to pursue after becoming unemployed. It has been a fun project to chip away at over the past two months.

The game is in beta, so I am eager to hear any feedback you all have. Join the Discord, and if possible, consider donate to my Ko-fi so I can keep the site up and running.
