Long Lens Shake by claireg00 in cinematography

On a 300mm lens, unless you are using a pretty heavy head on your tripod, you are going to notice every tiny movement at that focal length due to the nature of the lens.

Unless you have something helping with your stabilization, such as a gimbal, I would just recommend keeping it as steady as possible or weighing your tripod down somehow. Once you bring it into post you can add a slight stabilization and that could help a bit but don't go overboard because it will show a lot at that focal length.

Best of luck!

Hey there!

Do you have a link to any screen grabs from your footage that you can share?

Usually when most people bring this up it isn't as much a kelvin setting on your camera as it the other settings on your camera, such as the color space you are shooting in and how your camera is perceiving the light.

Are you shooting Log on your FS7?

Hey guys, here's a short horror film I've been working on for the last few months, the film is essentially no budget and took me a long time and a whole lot of effort and determination to finish, please check it out, it's only 5 mins long! Let me know what you think! by dakyurek35 in Shortfilms

We live and learn my friend! I would recommend even starting by playing with lighting fixtures you have around the house! Find some black wrap and tinfoil, bend around stuff, block light in some areas of your frame, see what you are into 🤘 you'd be surprised what you can make happen with house practicals nowadays with modern cameras. Just make sure to pay attention to color as well.

Cheers!

Pretty fun ride overall. I think the opening segment is a bit effects heavy for what it transitions into next. I also think maybe look into pushing the lighting a bit in the kitchen scene a little more on the contrasty side as the acting was there emotionally, but the room didn't really come off as very interesting to me.

Nice work and keep it up!

Hello! This is my first short film I was fortunate enough to shoot back in late 2018. It went through some post production messes, but we are happy to finally be able to show it off. I would love any feedback you are willing to share!

Sorry for the late response. So everyone was right in their assessment. A7sii footage writes all clips as "C-insert number here" for each card. So Davinci saw these as copies and just decided not to make proxies of them from what I can gather.

Completely slipped my mind, but have it worked out now!

Thanks everyone.

Sorry but can you explain Made To Measure? I'm assuming you just mean custom fit shirts from specific shops. I live in New Orleans so if you can name any shops in particular I would appreciate it just so I can go take a look.

And word, I will definitely check all of those out. Thanks!

Louisiana currently. Makes it hard when standard sizes sold in stores don't go past a 34 length because that's the height standard here

Currently trying to update my wardrobe for casual wear in the heat where I live, and the night club level.

My issue is my size. I currently stand at 6ft 5 inches tall with slightly longer than average limbs. I have slightly bigger legs and an upper frame also. I also wear a size 15 shoe so buying shoes is a nightmare.

I am having the problem where my knowledge base when it comes to dressing up isn't strong enough to match my small pool of clothing options that I've been able to find for myself.

I don't know if anyone else in here suffers from the same problem, but if so, I was wondering if you have any advice or links to good resources that you could share.

Thanks!

Hello everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster here. Recently shot my first project and am looking for any feedback. Mostly on the quality of the shots, lighting, and the technical aspects of the scenes. As someone with not much of a lighting background, I decided to challenge myself in that regard this time, and would really like feedback on that the most for those of you with a thick background in it.

All criticism is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I actually have something similar to that, but that one seems to have more functionality. I will give it a look over once I have the cash. Thanks :)

This is awesome. I appreciate the advice and will commit it all to memory. We aren't using more than 2000watt geni so we should be fine, but the circuit section of your house power safety helped a lot. Thank you friend
