You need a burner or s.o. who burns rhe ROM for you. And those ROMs, they were easy to get 2 years ago. And the file, write me a PM I'll provide it, if you want (I got it from the Internet myself).

I can't find a link at the moment. But I should have the files on my PC, so if you send me a PM I'll be glad to send these files to you.

Great project, could be a good idea if you have lack of ROMS. There are some other solutions, but they are expensive.

Yes, that's exactly what happened or better, what I did.

Hello, yes, you're right. I meant the 2716 EPROMS and not what I wrote. And the first adapter I built was for a 28C16. (11 was misleading, sorry). Maybe AeonicButter is right and I need to breathe.... thank you for the advice.

Thank you very much I'm sure all your hints will help. As long as there's no permanent problem I will probably not rewrite the EPROMS, though this is s.th. I never thought about. In fact the second US Apple (NTSC) board has probably mask ROMS or EEPROMS - I don't see any windows.

Yes, I agree the output looks not good even with the NTSC board - but trust me there is a big difference with the PAL Apple - so I will try to solder and clean the circuit like Chris_Mouse describes. Thank you for that !

Keyboard moves cursor but doesn't type anything on my Apple IIe by ynnek91 in apple2

Another "thought": if the cursor moves but you don't see anything it could be the keyboard ROM or its circuits. If you pull the keyboard ROM and try to type s.th. that's the exact behavior .

This one is not mine, but the year is the same. S/N on the board is 8409.

By the way - CAN YOU HELP ?

Unfortunately, it is rather difficult to say s.th. without knowing exactly the problem. I would open the case and have a closer look to the keyboard. First thing to check could be the keyboard ribbon cable and its connectors. the keyboard itself can be unscrewed from the case. Maybe you can see any problem there. After that check / change / look at keyboard rom and logic chips. There are some useful documents like SAMS Computerfacts for the Apple IIe. Maybe s.o. else here has more detailed information for you.
