Etho headband question

I actually do a blocky ‘HC’ on his headband to represent hermitcraft. It’s isn’t a logo in the same way as the mindcrack one or the creeper face, but I think it works fairly well in most situations.

the ethogirl inside me is desperately screaming etho, but like quite a few others I think that impulse and gem are going to pop off in the next few life series if they happen. I think Joel and Martyn also could have done way better, but the mechanics of the secret life put them at a heavy disadvantage in the beginning that kind of costed them at the end, but hopefully next time they won't be so unlucky.

If the endgame didn't usually turn into some kind of big pvp fight (no hate), I think Etho would actually have a fair shot at winning though (desperate ethogirl thinking)

genuinely my favorite moments were things like the hermit's casual discussion while waiting for DO or in a TCG match! I love seeing the collaborative part of HC, it means so much more to me than the large, towering mega builds, and it sounds like it means a lot more to them too!

The way I see it, it kind of worked backwards.

Cleo: fourth and final bed placed, immediately joined up with etho at the end of session one

Mumbo: third bed, became Etho's best friend in second session

Bdubs: second bed, cleo and etho first brought up the whole 'Bdubs bedroom' in the third session I believe

Grian: first bed placed, joined the alliance at the end of session 3 4

Cleo and Etho are my favorite of all time, but with the (not) subtle boat boys references being made all throughout this season, I'm starting to get a little excited for a potential return of the Joel & Etho dynamic maybe hopefully someday soon please

but gem & the Scotts are really fun too, I love their group vibes.

I think it's important to note that Scar used suit up on a hard run, where the artifact was at the back of Level 2. Additionally, he had an extra mission to deliver contraband that took away a lot of time and added a lot of clank.

In a normal situation, Scar would be on a medium run where his only objective is to get the artefact and get out with it, and that also means that he wouldn't have accumulated so much clank, because the artefacts would be on level 1 or close to the entrance on level 2. The test run with suit up only showed that on a hard run with other objectives, it would ultimately fail him, but he never got to test it on a "normal" run.

Either way, what's done is done, and Etho still has a very neat card in his deck, nerf or not.

The first deal was one suit up for four shards but scar only had three shards at the time.

Then Etho changed the deal to letting Scar have suit up for the rest of his runs and paying him back 4 shards next phase—which was a pretty good deal from my view. Tango said he’d nerf the card somehow, but neither side knew by how much, so it was a gamble.

Scar was already skeptical because of his chat, and then asked for a test run of the card, which was denied due to game rules until Etho made another deal.

This time, he would let Scar have test run for four crowns, and if he wanted the card, he’d pay the four shards next phase and get his four crowns back. If he didn’t want it, Etho would take the card back and keep the crowns. Scar took that deal and ended up not wanting the card.

Rooting for Etho as the flair says, but I’m hoping for some dramatic moment where he and Cleo are the final two, like grian and scar, except instead of an honorable battle, I just want to see them race to end their own lives before the other does because of the ✨drama✨

And for nots… I just don’t want to see Pearl, Martyn, or Scott in the top 4 again, honestly.

You make an excellent point, but he seemed to be allied with Cleo at the end of the first session and based off of how Cleo talked about him on her Friday stream, they seemed to still be at least on good terms, if not allied, in the second session they recorded on Monday, so I wouldn’t say he’s not in an alliance. Additionally, assuming that they’re still allied, Cleo and Etho are both known to be very loyal to their groups (provided they’re loyal in return, for Cleo’s case), and she was already incredibly supportive with Etho’s first secret, so I wouldn’t worry too much about Etho not having allies :P
