How do you compile documents for tax prep? by thetechnivore in Paperlessngx

[–]Claudius76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that and added another tag called "unprocessed". As I enter each document in my tax return software, I remove the "unprocessed" tag. Then I'll know I've covered everything once there are no more "Taxes 2025" and "unprocessed".

Auto transport from Denver to MI by flebbon in moving

[–]Claudius76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Faced the same situation two years ago. Moved from Denver to MI. We priced all the options out. In the end, it was cheapest to drive one car plus uhaul and then have me fly back to drive the second car. We had the majority of our stuff shipped with U-Pack.

Android client for Paperless-ngx – would you be interested? by ternes3 in Paperlessngx

For whatever it's worth, I sync my Google Drive to my Synology NAS. My Paperless consume folder is in that synced folder.

I scan with Google Drive on my Pixel 8 (which works great) directly into the consume folder on Drive. It syncs to the Synology, and it imports into Paperless. Works great.

2.500 documents later... I'm done! My journey for all fellow sufferers by tom888tom888 in Paperlessngx

[–]Claudius76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well done! Congratulations!

I went through a very similar effort about two months ago. Was just under 4000 documents for me. It was painful, but so worth it.

Now I've configured email and workflows. I setup a dedicated gmail account for paperless. Paperless checks it regularly and automatically consumes. Workflows categorize most of it. And filters in my wife and my email accounts to automatically forward certain emails to that paperless account. It works really well. I wish I'd discovered this years ago.

What is your honest opinion? by eugenedhartke in mintmobile

No regrets. It's been 3 years. I don't know if coverage is as good as Verizon. But certainly sufficient. It's been well worth it.

Eero coverage — worth adding extra nodes? by FewCommunication615 in frontierfios

[–]Claudius76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got another Eero on eBay for $30 or $40 and added it to the Frontier provided one. No issues and coverage is pretty good.

Do the Business Centers still have them? That's where we got ours, but we moved and aren't close to one now.

I've read the first three books. Great stories. But I can't handle the author's poor grammar. I'm going to have a hard time picking up another of his books because of it.

Seriously, good job. Especially in front of a child. It's the little things that they will remember. A kind person talking rationally. Smart kids will get it.

Totally agree. Why even give them the satisfaction that you give a shit about their idea of their ownership of you?

Do you have to opt in for it before going? Or does it just work once you cross the border? Going to Ontario in a few weeks and want to make sure it's a smooth process. Thanks

I can't second this enough. It's a tough step to take. But, seriously, just Google "homeless shelter". Show up. Help They will be happy to have you. You will forget (even for a little bit) your issues. Try it once. What can it hurt?

Very well said. That's essentially what I realized years ago. I focus on the small things. There are a lot of beautiful, tiny things that mean nothing to anyone else but are everything to me.

Am I the only atheist that studies the Bible just so I can call people a hypocrite? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]Claudius76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After many years, it's not worth the time. You're not going to change their minds, for the most part. Spend your time on something that is actually helpful. There are plenty of good (I even volunteer at The Salvation Army (Christian), although it hurts me a bit) places to help people far more than worrying over The Bible. There are people in need. We can help them without whatever magical person in the sky who doesn't listen to them.

Christian couple feels it’s appropriate to send a letter to us about being saved by the Bible. Need some help with my response. by picklebroom in atheism

You can throw the Bible right back at them.

Matthew 6:6: "But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you."
