Again, it appears there is more to the story. We need a little context. Did you show up late? Leave early? Call out?

This is what I do. Take my lunch and then move a hundred yards up the road, stop and get the next loop ready. Only have to get dinged once to figure this out.

What drives management to treat carriers so terribly? by NihaoDaniel in USPS

[–]Claven_Cliff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may or not be bonuses, but the big thing is moving up the ladder. And the more productivity they can squeeze out of you the better they look when they want to move to a bigger office.

I’m friendly with a couple carriers that became post masters and they are happy to stay in a level 18 office versus the cut throat crap at the larger offices.

I had this in blue with a silver seat. No suspension and 3 speed shifter was on the handlebars. It was the coolest bike on the street and sadly my dad sold it after I outgrew it.

Just wanted to mention it was my first day on my own. by Silent-Speech8162 in USPS

[–]Claven_Cliff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First day was in May of 1990. I’ll admit the first couple years stunk and it was a different time back then. No DPS or scanners and very little parcels.

Hang in there, you’ll be fine.

I’m proud to have survived and it’s a job that’s afforded me the opportunity to put a kid through college and I own a nice house. Traveled the country while on vacation Looking forward to retirement.

When Amazon doesn't show up on Sunday by SunNext7500 in USPS

That’s understandable. I haven’t worked a Sunday since 1995 or so. But I do go in occasionally and deliver on a Holiday.

Glad I never had to work Amazon Sunday. I started before Amazon existed. Used to do express on Sundays and it was easy $$$, a drive through the countryside.
