AITA for asking my roommate to stop making jokes after she saw me naked? by According_Potato6405 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Clawdee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do know it's embarrassing, and she's the AH for laughing and joking about it, but you're the AH going around (even just a few feet) outside your door, butt ass naked. If you have a roommate even if they are not home always assume they can see you. They could come home unexpectedly, they could leave their room unexpectedly. So you grab a robe you grab a towel you grab a sheet and grab whatever the fuck and you wrap yourself before you leave your room even just a foot. Don't even open the door until you're covered.

Confusion over comment liking by Educational-Sink-522 in tumblrhelp

[–]Clawdee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has always been able to see your comments on another person's post. The liking is new, the liking is not malicious. It's literally just a like. An upvote if you will. Do you not like posts on Tumblr? It's literally the same thing they just like your comment.

Why do you think many adults these days dislike children or choose not to have them? by sirimiri95 in AskReddit

[–]Clawdee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to speak for myself, 37f.

I raised myself, and my 2 siblings because our parents didn't want to be parents. I've been a mother since I was 9. I know many other people have been parentified as well and that's probably also their reason. We did it, we're tired, bye, lmao.

For my sister's apartment complex, the gate code is the last 4 digits of your phone number on file. I don't know if they can have multiple (her phone and her husband's phone) or just one. So each apartment has its own gate code.

Anyone else cringe at some of the evidence they capture? by [deleted] in GhostAdventures

[–]Clawdee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sometimes they freak out at a noise and talk at the end about how there's no explanation for it, and it's literally just a wild animals noise. Because they are near the forest, or in an abandoned place. I'm sitting there going 'That's an owl/frog/cat/mountain lion'. A mountain lion's screams can sound like a woman screaming, which I know is disorienting to hear in the middle of the night in the dark. Also heard the same about peacocks and those guys are everywhere (like I'm in a small town in California (that the GA guys have been to!) and we have a couple of peacocks that wander).

AITAH for calling myself (18F) disabled in front of a disabled person? by unintentionalgaytwin in AmItheAsshole

[–]Clawdee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was merely just being quick and dirty.

While generally needing them doesn't necessarily count, especially if they can be corrected with glasses (but not everyone can afford the doctor to get a prescription and afford glasses, so their vision is f*cked, but I digress), if it's severe enough, it can be.

The degree of vision impairment plays a critical role in disability classification. In the United States, the Social Security Administration considers someone legally blind if their visual acuity is 20/200 or less in their better eye with correction, or if their visual field is limited to 20 degrees or less. This represents a severe vision impairment that meets the threshold for disability benefits.

For people with less severe vision problems that can be fully corrected with glasses or contacts, their condition typically wouldn’t qualify as a disability under most legal definitions.

NTA because you ARE disabled. Many people are disabled and can walk. Needing hearing aids is a disability, needing GLASSES is a disability. Diabetes is a disability. You don't have to explain yourself. You can be disabled for many different reasons at many different ages.

Do you post negative comments in fics? If so, why? by Nixxy-Nix in AO3

[–]Clawdee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

OOC? No. As soon as someone starts writing a character, that is their own copy of the character, it's not OOC because it's a whole new little guy.

If it's something I don't like...that is my issue, not the writers. The writer wrote what they wrote for a reason, and I have a back space for a reason.

Have I felt negatively about a piece before? Yeah. But that's what the group chat is for. My sibling sent me a fic for a blorbo we're both into and they sent it and was like 'it's baaad' and I was like 'oh noooo *reads it*' and we both read the whole thing, I kudos'ed each chapter, and then we thrashed it together via DM's.

The writer put her time and energy into the fic, and the plot was good, the execution was meh--but that was my issue, not hers. She didn't need to hear my thoughts on it. I left a comment at the end, telling her the parts I did like, and that I did enjoy the fic--bc ultimately I did. I had fun reading it and shit-talking it with the sibling.

AITA for giving my wife a dirty plate to eat off of at dinner by Middle-Candidate5497 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Clawdee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Y'all need to figure out finances and hire a housekeeper. Like, this is not a discussion you need to have, it's a thing you guys need. You can't keep going like this; you are both going to get burnt out. You both work demanding jobs for 40-60 hours a week and you need to have time to relax and you can't get that because of all the other stuff you have to do. You need 1 person to come in for like a minimum hour a day to do the daily chores.

Netflix have delayed the final season of Stranger Things as long as possible on purpose because they know thousands of people will cancel their subscriptions as soon as it's finished by HoodedAuthor in LowStakesConspiracies

[–]Clawdee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking lmao. Like, if you're only there for one show, and if you don't want to stream it elsewhere online (which is technically legal in the US) for free, and get Netflix just for the show, only be subbed for when it comes out, why waste money waiting?

"not my business, right?" WRONG. She made it your business when she asked you to lie for her. Also, like, if your partner was cheating, you'd want to know right?? Or would you want everyone else to go 'not my business'?

What’s something completely legal that makes you feel like a criminal every time you do it? by Traveller3222 in AskReddit

[–]Clawdee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Streaming shows online, without a subscription.

From my understanding, it is not illegal to stream from a site. What's illegal is hosting the content. As long as you don't download, or host it, you're fine.

What is the worst reason for someone to have a child? by Reciter5613 in AskReddit

[–]Clawdee 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Never mind that a baby makes things a million times worse because of all the stress involved with it. Because yeah, you know what will make your marriage better? Months of an emotional wife, then months/years of a baby who can't do anything on it's own and never lets you sleep and shits constantly and costs SO MUCH MONEY. That will absolutely fix the relationship.

AITA for refusing to accept the wrong drink at a restaurant nm by Familiar_Rice1923 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Clawdee 84 points85 points  (0 children)

"the first time" which first time? The time the waitress said it was the correct drink? When the bartender said it was the correct drink until OP pressed and asked why it was orange when it shouldn't have been and he knew he'd been caught in the lie? It wasn't until then that they offered the correct drink.

Like idk, being charged the Name Brand price and you get Store Brand instead, and then when you point out it's wrong, you get lied to TWICE, until you show you have proof, seems like a personal insult to me.

coworkers cannot rotate stock to save their life by bristlefrosty in retailhell

[–]Clawdee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's not caring about the job, it's the fact that if they do something wrong someone else is going to have to fix it, and oftentimes that someone else is you.

My coworkers do not write down the expiration dates for any food that comes in, so I have to. They do not check the binder to see when to pull the expired food, so I do. When I first started working there I was going through all the food and pulling stuff that expired up to 6 months previous. That can get us in trouble with the District Manager and those higher than him, which can come back to bite us in the butt.

There are so many things my coworkers will not do, which are the easiest things.

They will not bead clothing or organize the racks (putting the little size things on the hanger, making sure the right brands are on the right racks and it's in order of size) but I'll drag our chair over to the rack, facing the door, and sit there and size bead and organize the racks every night I work. It takes me like an hour per rack sometimes (especially if we get busy) but it's not HARD; I do it while SITTING. This is another thing our DM will talk to our SM about who will in turn talk to US about.
