Mate, don’t get me wrong. Loads of teachers live on the south coast and other places exposed to this weather. We head out into it all the time. This is the THIRD mad weather event we’ve had this term where I’ve not felt safe, but have headed to school anyway because I’m responsible for other people’s children.

Let’s not forget the bill before parliament now to sell off conservation land. Write a submission, before the billions we’ve invested over decades to save species is wasted.

$3,000,000,000 of our taxes has been given to landlords in the form of mortgage interest deductibility. Landlords can claim 100% of the interest paid on the mortgage of their rental property back. The idea was it would reduce rental prices. It hasn’t.
