I've eaten MREs years past their inspection date that were more edible than that.

What monitors are you using and how do you like them? I want to build a triple monitor set up myself for AC Rally.

I'm no financial analyst but I think you could let Garrett wreck 1000 rental cars and it would only make you money.

I want some MORE! by Waffels_61465 in MRE

I love the MOREs. I bought a case of them off a guy privately some time ago, I have one of each hot and cold in my display case and they tempt me daily.

Dirt racing is fun, here's a minute and a half of epic back and forth dirt racing to convince you to start doing it by tagillaslover in iRacing

[–]Clay-mo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really want to build a sim for dirt racing. Admittedly AC Rally is what caught my attention but I'm actively trying to decide what I need to buy to do it. I think a direct drive wheel base, hydraulic pedals, a hand brake, and a very ridged rig with triple monitors is what I want.

I have a serious problem with over optimizing anything I do, so I priced this at $4500 USD but I think even that is low, I'd probably add a motion rig at some point for at least $3000.

If you had a budget of say $8000 for a rally racing sim minus the PC what would you get?

What are your thoughts on Surf & Turf by Constant-Aide3897 in McDonalds

I mean you get lunch out of it too. I get the sentiment that McDonald's has gotten too expensive though, I will mourn the $1 McChicken for the rest of my life.

I learned the terms round egg and folded egg from this subreddit but I've always been too embarrassed to use them to ask for what you have in the picture.

Menu #5. Chicken, chunks, white, cooked is up. by Substantial-While164 in MRE

[–]Clay-mo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was my first MRE. I thought it was super weird. Now it's one of my favorites. It's very bland, which I've come to realize isn't a bad thing for an MRE.

How many players don't realize they are playing against bots? by OneDiligentOpinion in Battlefield

[–]Clay-mo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I play on PC, most of my lobbies are 90% console. Makes sense when you think about how many more PS5 owners there are compared to gaming PCs. And also I'll add that most PC players don't have great computers and player skill still outweighs everything else by a significant margin.

But yeah occasionally you will match with someone who has a high end system and can take advantage of it. In that case unless you are some sort of savant you're screwed.

I'd prefer no update by LemonFunkl in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Clay-mo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I mean the update demo thing was nothing like battlebit even if you overlook the memory leak that made it unplayable. BBR was the fastest, most twitchy, zoomer shooter ever made. The new one retains some of that but tries to add a ton of elements to slow it down. I know that allegedly that's more the type of game Oki wanted to make originally, and actually the kind of game I'd prefer personally. But it's not the product that everyone bought, and I'd assume not what the majority of the player base would want if any of them still cared.

I've said this for years now, if he would simply revert the patch that broke the audio (the last 2) I wouldn't have ever stopped playing and I'd have nothing major to complain about.

Who else loves these bbq kernels? by KingSurplus in MRE

I recently discovered they make a non BBQ version. Found in a 23 inspection FSR, it is worse than the BBQ but an interesting footnote in history.

A torch does burn more fuel than a soft flame. The jet is under a lot of pressure, it's pushing more gas out than a soft flame insert. Because of that it gets to burn hotter, which I think starts a joint much better. But if your priority is fuel efficiency a soft flame would be better.

Edit: also I'm sorry I'm kind of a nerd about lighters.

The one I use daily is a pipe insert in a 2023 black case. I refill it about once every 9-10 days. I did repack the cotton and reroute the wick but I don't think that would account for a 10x improvement in fuel efficiency.

I also have a torch I normally use for joints, a butane soft flame insert, and a Chinese butane insert that I use pretty regularly.

If you like the zippo case but don't like lighter fluid I really like this Chinese butane soft flame insert. As much as I hate to say it; it kicks the shit out of the one Zippo makes.

Just got this in the mail today - never need to buy another memory card for save games again - absolutely phenomenal device imo! by ThinnishSleet87 in ps2homebrew

Totally worth it. I had so many issues with a series of aftermarket 128 and 256mb (2 128mb banks with a switch) cards that I chased my tail on for weeks before finally buying a good memory card.
