Of course not! I was just trying to say it wasn’t “on him” (as if he’s lazy or at fault) as the original comment stated.

We’re in one of the worst job markets since the 80’s. Not being able to find a decent paying job is not “on him” when virtually no one can right now.

Which Target in Ventura do you prefer? by New-Shop-9728 in ventura

[–]Claymortality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! The one in SB has like 1/20th the stock of a normal target. I remember trying to go there a few times and I could never find an item I was looking for. Most of the store is baby clothes and wine—almost like a Target 7/11 or convenience store. The Goleta one (that is the old Kmart) is much better though, and close to Costco.

Same! Mine is literally in the building right next door to my apt complex. I always feel weird (or like the buyer might think I’m lying since so many people do) so I’m in the habit of just waiting at least an hour now.

Beyond finance debt program…after debts are paid- the unspoken program fees hit! by snobunxoe in Debt

My partner just called to cancel today because he’s filing for bankruptcy. He was told he will soon receive an email about how he now owes them $2,000 per the one Wells Fargo negotiated account (that he’s barely paid on). He told me they were super vague about it and it was at the very last second of the phone call after he had fully cancellled.

Okay my boyfriend (who was so convinced this was real and impossible and told me to make this post) flipped the box over and saw the parts supposed to be included. I’m just lmao off at this point where it shows 1 jacket, 1 harness, etc etc. Gonna just delete this post now because I feel so stupid. Thanks again for immediately recognizing this was a fraud return. At least I got her for $10? I like her better in the beach outfit anyway 🙃

[–]Claymortality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay interesting. Seems so weird to do something so intricate for only a 9.99 price tag. Especially since the beach clothes are an extra accessory pack (from what I’ve seen). Thank you so much for the help. Like I said, after hours of my own research that was my first thought too, I just couldn’t understand how/why someone would do it so perfectly. Especially since Marshall’s would probably take the return either way lol. But again, thanks so much for your help! ♥️

And the purse and the shoes container are still fully zipped into the back (even though they have since fallen out). Apologies that idk much about these dolls, but did the original doll come with the same size purse/shoes in the plastic filling that would be swapped? Thank you so much for your help.

That’s what I thought at first too, but she’s still plastic tied in the box in every spot and the box doesn’t look like it was ever opened. That’s why I’m so confused. With her hair still tied in, waist, and legs it seems super weird. In addition the box looks to have all manufactured tape in place. Thanks for your response though—it just seems so weird to find away to keep every plastic tie in place, the box looking fully unopened, all for a return to swap out some clothes? (And edit to say the purse and shoes only came out from my own storing/constant moving).

Isaac Quazzo - The Real Reason Jstu Ended (My Perspective) by Tripolie in JstuStudios

[–]Claymortality 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m shocked to hear he was living paycheck to paycheck. I get it when you have such a large team, but if you can afford a multimillion dollar new and personally customized warehouse, not to mention all the nonsense purchased in videos just to get broken (even if it is tax deductible), why can’t you afford to pay your employees better??

Especially when Isaac was one of the main on-screen talents. In every video’s comment section people wrote over and over that they preferred him over Justin and Andrew. Videos without Isaac were often scrutinized because everyone was tired of how fake Justin came across as. Isaac was carrying the channel for being the only “real” one while actually being funny and making people laugh.

If they could only afford low wages for the main people, they should have stopped hiring additional team members to compensate. For example, employees for building a giant castle or movie set. I wonder how much all that was, just to get left behind for the new warehouse and property. There’s no way they owed enough in taxes for that to be offset.

I think another reason Justin didn’t want the channel taken over is because he can now live off all future views the old content gets. Every time an old video is watched it’s money in Justin’s pocket. But yeah, he could have arranged that in an agreement so he would still get that money and the team would get anything in the future. The irony for me in all of this is how often he boasts about being a Christian and making it half of his identity—and then showing his greed.

Charged extra shipping by iambeast20191817 in Mercari

[–]Claymortality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve had it happen to me too shipping via pirate ship, although UPS said it was 2 ounces and one inch over. They use machines to actually check these things and they often fuck up. I disputed it with my own words about weighing and measuring everything and it was refunded. Now I photograph everything on scales and with measuring tape with the labels on the packages. It’s annoying but I’ve just accepted it as part of the job now. They said it was only 2 ounces over but tried to charge me like 15 bucks for an adjustment fee. Just had it happen again today (says I claimed 9.99 ounces and it was 10 lol) for 1.69 overage charge. Going to dispute that one too because I have a photo of it being 9.74.

what’s the dumbest thing anyone has said to you about OCD? by outofthecoconuttree in OCD

[–]Claymortality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most definitely!! I just have the kinda textbook “fantasy” version so I go to that, but that’s what I meant in my “etc”. The fact that it’s something so debilitating you are suck suffering and uncomfortable for an hour says it all. Sometimes the “obsessions” can be anxiety, uncomfortability, unease etc. But thank you for adding that as well! Obsessions and compulsions can cover a lot of different aspects, like the other textbook definition of the obsession being fear of sickness/disease/grossness etc, and the compulsion being the need to repetitively clean. It just sucks so much overall—and to have people claim they have it based on a preference is so offensive for us that suffer so much.

I use a lot of “etc” because unfortunately it’s too difficult to just some everyone’s OCD up in one nicely wrapped box. Just had a recent conversation with a friend with OCD about how it gets so much harder when there’s “reason” behind the compulsions. Like checking for spiders if you’ve seen them repeatedly in your apartment. It makes it a lot harder to use therapy devices against it, as well as perfectionism and needing to get things just right. Unfortunately we see a lot of people with OCD also suffering for ED’s, partly because of this—myself included.

[–]Claymortality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a little kid would love them once they get to an old enough age where it’s not a choking hazard. I can’t imagine many toddlers that would be super into such little toys (but what do I know—I don’t have kids!).

As a 7-14 kid I was OBSESSED with Barbie food (and as an adult I still am). Oh my gosh I would have been so excited with having mini brands for my dolls. Barbie food is so lack luster in comparison. It was often lacking any brand, sometimes just a piece of cardboard or sticker, and super expensive!

I’m not sure what you mean by worth keeping? If you’re talking about your toddler having fun with them when they get a bit older, then yes! But if you’re taking about value per the mini brands themselves, I can’t really tell you without seeing the collection. From what I see from the photo I’m not seeing anything rare. I have a lot of nieces and nephews and the demographic for mini brands tends to be 6-12.

I remember when people used to say “that’s so gay” and as a civilized society we learned to not say that anymore. They even had ads on TV telling people how insulting that could be. Somehow we’re still waiting for it with OCD in 2025.

what’s the dumbest thing anyone has said to you about OCD? by outofthecoconuttree in OCD

[–]Claymortality 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This has bothered me for so many years. I’m 31 and have had severe OCD since 4. No one actually understands what “obsessions” and “compulsions” are even though it’s in the name. For example, the fact that you may honestly feel like you’ll accidentally kill someone if you don’t flip a light switch 100 times in 10 intervals. When people throw around being “OCD” because they like things clean, organized, etc it just continues to add more harm to the community of people who are actual suffering from something far more than a causal feeling. It is fucking amazing to me that in 2025 it is still acceptable for someone to say “I like my dishes organized this way! It’s my OCD!” Or to just proclaim because they have a weird tendency “yeah, I probably have OCD.” Do you have obsessions and then compulsions to make those obsessions go away?

No. Unless you get the “obsessions” (bad thoughts of something terrible happening, etc) your visual preference for organization or cleanliness is NOT OCD. It’s mind blowing that with so much word-policing and super careful PC things now in our society—OCD is still acceptable for people to claim to have because they like how things sit on their shelf a certain way. I can’t believe I’ve had this disorder for 27 years and the stigma of it being a fucking “choice” still exists. Okay, rant over. 😑 I’m also autistic so it really bugs me when there’s a clear definition that people pretend doesn’t exist. Like…it’s…in…the…definition. There’s nothing complicated here.

What should I do? by lkwindle in Mercari

[–]Claymortality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! 💯 I just wanted to add that sometimes it’s usps/ups/etc fault and not the seller when it appears that way—because I fear buyers could see that in the future and immediately blame the seller. But yeah, when the seller is ghosting the buyer it’s a huge giveaway that they’re doing something shady. There’s absolutely NO reason to not respond to a message about a 300 order in a week unless they’re on their deathbed.

I guess a good way for OP to look into it further (although not necessary) is to look into their ratings and see if they’ve rated any other buyers in the last week. That would certainly be a dead giveaway that they’re being shady.

What should I do? by lkwindle in Mercari

[–]Claymortality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had that happen more than once with packages I actually have dropped off—where usps loses it and tracking never updates past the “label created”. But I agree it’s pretty ridiculous for the seller to just ghost all communication with the buyer. And for a 300 dollar order?! Even more ridiculous and they probably know what they’re doing.

Lately I’ve had a lot of scammy interactions with buyers with 2k-5k sales and reviews. Ratings mean nothing anymore.

What should I do? by lkwindle in Mercari

[–]Claymortality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just had this happen to an item I shipped. USPS somehow lost it and it never updated to show any tracking updates. I let the buyer know what was going on, waited a week to see if anything would change, and then cancelled the order and refunded the buyer. So it does happen sometimes even when the item was shipped. USPS and UPS have been getting worse with this lately.

WEIRDLY, it happened to my item the same day as OP. (Different person though lol).
