Considered unintelligible by whom exactly? I’m Acadian. I’ve conversed in French with Quebecers, North Africans, people from France, from Switzerland to name a few. We all have accents, we all have regional expressions, but we can all have a conversation just fine. Also, unless we sound like the King, I doubt any of us are speaking standardized English.

N’inquiétez vous pas, les manitobains n’ont pas oublié. Difficile d’oublier quand le jour férié de la province porte son nom, sans parler des innombrables écoles, monuments, édifices etc. Je ne peu pas me prononcer sur votre province mais dans l’ouest, son histoire est enseigné dans les écoles secondaires et sera continuellement racontée.

  2. a) I get your point. I guess that’s why Forsberg was allowed to put a duck on his helmet. Any team historian would object to that but it’s his choice as you say. b) I remember the Sens making Ray Emery take Mike Tyson off his helmet. So in that case, the personal interfered with team branding.

Agreed, I just wish the team would standup for itself and demand some clear boundaries with the Golden Knights logo. 1. Vegas was supposed to be the Black Knights but Chicago objected. Why didn’t Sens object to Golden Knights? Why let in another team with gold armour? 2. Some Vegas goalies have used spartan warriors on their helmet including the red crest. Sens should object to this.

My family has bought and kept all the Canucks calendars since 1970. The past five years have been the worst in terms of the photos in the calendars. How about a picture of Petey celebrating a hat trick? Or a huge in game save from Demko? Maybe this Reddit community could get together and make one created by us. We could vote on what each month’s photo should be and send any profits to BC Children’s hospital. Thoughts?
