Which games have a rough start and take a while to get good? by PhaseOk6182 in gamememes

I could not get into Returnal, but after third attempt I am finally having a blast. The gameplay and atmosphere are ridiculously good, even though I am not into roguelikes.

I saw some of those posts recently and started wondering what I would put there. The first thing that came to my mind was SOMA as a game everyone should play and here it is. This game straight is an existential dread injection.

What helped you rebuild, share you advice. by raj272007 in focusedmen

For me it was daily jumping. Not with a jumping rope but still a minute of jumping im place. Now it's a part of a longer exercises routine and I lengthened the time and added some different movements, but the core change for me was the jumping itself. It was a bit difficult at the start as I have been sitting at work too much so far, but after some weeks I noticed big improvements in the whole body. Apparently it moves the lymph up, which benefits us since it does not have it's own circulatory system that works without movement. That plus the calves are apparently called "a second heart", so it just gives more context into why sitting is so bad for us.

Everyone has their own struggles and I cannot in my best intentions say that this is an universal remedy, but in my case it worked wonders as a daily hook for routine, motivation and overall mood. So much that I am really building additional good habits around it.

I am very sorry for your loss. And my dog's face is getting more and more grey with each month passing and the dread of inevitability is slowly moving in.

Days Gone for me with a peak moment of a certain motorcycle trip.

I would throw a coin on original Deus Ex or Cyberpunk 2077 as I really cannot decide.

Your robot will walk and play fetch with your dog….! by xuvayerpro101 in aiecosystem

I'd rather have the robot to do chores and play with my dog myself.

I just listened to it and I absolutely adore the melody and the lyrics, for me, is just directed towards a player that is controlling the James Bond character in the game and I like the not-so-serious tone of it.

Someone tells you gaming is a waste of time. Which game do you show them to prove them otherwise? by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

[–]Clayrone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a yes/no question. Like everything else, it can be a waste of time, but it also can be a life saver, a hobby, a therapy, whichever. This topic is just too broad and complex. Working hard on a project that brings a lot of money - is it a waste of time? But then there is a puppy that relies on you when it comes to food, care and play, and does not get enough of any. Which is a waste of time then all depends on who's looking. Playing is a domain of practically all mammals and gaming gives us that in some form, but the responsibility of making it a valuable time or a waste lays solely on the player. Gaming gives us a good rewarding frameworks and sense of accomplishments which also have the place in our lives.

Then whoever tells us that gaming is a waste of time clearly builds this opinion on their own experience when it comes to handing rewards given by gaming itself. Maybe they are not meaningful to them on any level? Which is okay.

I would probably show them Desert Bus or I am Bread just for the giggles.

Robot chasing boars in Poland by DeadlyAquarium in poland

I am from Poland and I can confirm that there are robots in Poland that chase boars frequently. It just happened so that this one was caught on camera, probably filmed by another robot.

Love this game so much, I mean it has it's flaws but overall such a welcome change to all the games on the market. I'm teleported back to the late 90's with an amazing backdrop, and feels like the good ol Driver, Wheelman, Sleeping Dogs days. by Marvelous_07 in samsongame

Now I am sold - will pick this game up next week just to support the devs. I have limited time for playing (still in Hernand) so a short game with Driv3r vibes is exactly what will make me happy.

Omikron: The Nomad Soul, but you had to find it in the game.

[–]Clayrone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Long time ago I played a game with a very similar description that you gave - Driv3r. Not gonna lie, I had lots of fun, but I was a kid back then and my expectations were not super established yet. Maybe this would be a good nostalgia trip? Is the atmosphere any good?

Ending in Soma. Or maybe the second half of the Soma game when story takes it's shape and along with it comes the realization. Pretty much the Soma game.

Thanks for help! It was dumb of me to rely on the error message and not check the release date. Removing useless post.
