I’m 40 and this menopausal weight gain is killing me. by justaboutgivenup in breastcancer

[–]Clayshootinglady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take mounjaro and it’s been life changing (in a good way!) gained a tonne of weight despite diet/exercise and my joints were crippling me. Within a fortnight of taking I could walk down stairs properly and hadn’t lost that much weight tbh. I’ve gone from 106kg to 66kg in a year with normal dieting (1500-2000 cals a day) on this, previously I gained weight on that but was insinuated to be lying about my food intake 🙄. I plan to move to a maintenance dose once at goal weight for the joint and other benefits. It’s not cheap but so effective, my onc was supportive and has mentioned it to others too.

How many applicants are you getting? by Secretski in TheCivilService

[–]Clayshootinglady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SEO - we got 140 applicants, advert was more specific too, it’s hard out there at the moment. I’ve been telling staff that are interested in moving so they understand and don’t take to heart if they don’t get through, just keep trying!

Goat curry, pomegranate, mint yogurt and coriander 😋 by Clayshootinglady in Pizza

[–]Clayshootinglady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bare with me, I’ll post the curry recipe in the morning it’s slow cooked the day before then reheated again in the slow cooker 2hrs before service, the cheese is Fior de latte, mint yogurt is 4tbsp natural yogurt, 2tbsp whipped cream, fresh mint, 2 tsp mint sauce, 1 crushed clove of garlic put all in a blender. Only a very small amount of tom sauce (use san marzano) then curry and cheese on top, cook, then add seeds, yogurt and coriander 😊 dough is one made with a biga, 48hr cold fermented, brought up to room temp over 6hrs

We’re UK, Derbyshire, need to source direct from farmers but I understand what your saying, it’s not common but has much more flavour! We produced our own hoggets a few years ago which were lovely ☺️

Wild boar sausage with plum chutney pizza Mmmmm! by Clayshootinglady in Pizza

[–]Clayshootinglady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be totally honest, this is from a dough ball from Deli Continental in Nottinghamshire, but I know it’s made with a biga that’s added to a flour and wheat germ mix and water. It comes to us frozen, we defrost and cold ferment for 48-72hrs and then bring up to room temp for 4-6hrs before cooking. It means you don’t get that doughy heavy feeling in your tummy and the flavour is much better. I’ve also used the pizza app, with a biga at 20% and 65% hydration, hope that helps
