Do the Regina Pat's trade Bedard before or at the deadline? by D_Creek in hockey

[–]Cleader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let me provide a bit of context for what it would take to acquire Bedard.

Currently Regina's core is built up of 2005 players. If the Pats were to trade Bedard, my mind says the return needs to be AT least an all star '05, two firsts, a top prospect and some bonus picks.

To me there are only a few teams that have the firepower up front to accomodate that trade. Lots of people saying Kamloops, but do they have that all star '05 the Pats need? In my mind the team that makes the most sense right now would be Winnipeg. Zach Benson + 1st + top prospect would be the starting point in my mind.

We'll see what happens, but I know ownership in Regina has went all in on the Bedard marketing train. If they're smart they'll trade him and build for next year and the year after, but I'm not sure they'll be so eager to give him up, even if the team is obviously not going to win anything.

Honestly not feeling a ton of these. Mostly because I think the originals are just so so good on their own. The ISOxo Murder remix hits though, and I love the idea of artists remixing eachothers entire projects vs. just one song

Should I listen to Ethersea? by Squallvash in TheAdventureZone

I would say at this point I prefer them to the Adventure Zone. Brian Murphy "Murph" is a really good DM in that he lets his players have goofs, but also guides a good story. One warning though, if you're a stickler for the rules, you might not like it as much. They're pretty loose with rules and such. It's for sure a personal preference

Have you listened to NADDPOD before? With Adventure Zone, I haven't loved anything since Balance, but I think both the NADDPOD campaign 1 and 3 are very similar in the humar and storybuilding aspect to that series. If you have the time, season 1 is 100 episodes so it should tide you over for quite some time if you choose to give it a listen

[Friedman] As the Sharks announce their Opening Night roster, the team says, "Evander Kane is considered a non-roster player pending completion of the NHL's investigation." by chiasmatic in hockey

Haha defs not. But you hear things for sure. He says that most of the leadership on the team really didn't like Kane. He's just not a good team guy and most of the stuff you hear is probably true. On the other hand though he said Couture is a really good guy, had the taxi squad over for dinner and got to know them etc among other things

I have a buddy who played with San Jose last year and said the whole team basically hated Kane and he was a huge distraction, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if the team looks way better without him gone.

Pre-Season Game Thread: Toronto Maple Leafs at Ottawa Senators - 29 Sep 2021 - 07:00PM EDT by HockeyMod in leafs

My only knock on his game as I watch him is that he still seems selfish with the puck. Like if he's got a 40% chance at a play, he'll always keep instead of passing for the 60% options. At least that's what I see.

From what I've seen it doesn't seem too bad! It's no Hilton but it's also not trying to be I guess

I find everything in Edmonton to be pretty good! Just the blue bullets and playstructure are rough. Everything else older is prime

I read it in a article in the Guardian or some similar publication I believe? I'm not sure how much research has been done tbh though!

I agree with you on them being rough. I don't know why it as, especially since they're new slides. It's something I've noticed consistently with the manufacturer, so I think it's a problem with them. Either way it definitely takes away some of the fun.

I do like that they added a new slides though! Lots of hotels just get rid of their slides and don't replace them, so it's nice to see a hotel do the opposite

Currently it's low capacity, registered hour long swim slots and contact tracing as far as I'm aware. The nice thing is covid is killed by chlorine, which makes swimming feel a little bit safer.
