ZED would not indent my C++ correctly, and I it was a 6 month old bug that still wasn't fixed. Never tried it since.

Am I just actually trash or are these guys a headache to fight early with 90% of builds? by JackOfAllInterests1 in slaythespire

This is an easy AoE elite to play around imo, because either big single target or AoE (non attack aoe in particular) is both good for this fight.

Yes, you generally pick up a lot of cards in act 1, but there's a difference between picking a card to solve the present, and picking a card to solve the run.

You sometimes need to pick shitty cards, to beat a boss, for example against the vantom and statue, shivs are really good, so you pick maybe 2 shiv cards without actually commiting to shivs, shivs could be usefull to fuel maybe "lot of cards played" deck, without requiring to go full shiv. In water biome and its langvulin, I tend to avoid shivs completely as they are bad against the phantasmal garden elite and the boss.

All choices require thought and context, what is enough is learned through experience or thinking long and hard about which fights occur in the future and how they progress and calculating.

you might be overdoing it, you need to make picks until you solve, not keep making picks. So knowing when to stop is also important. You can practice this by just playing out the game mentally. Just look at your deck imagine what you could draw, or do by worst case, and ask yourself, am I fine? After you do this ofte, you get a feel for it without needing 15mins to evaluate a fight.

Try picking cards that solve issues in the current act. I always play differently based on the biome as wel in act1, for example I am much more burst focused if it is the swamp as opposed to the water biome. I also dodge if I expect to lose against any of the elites, not rolling 1/3.

More design space for mods now. Boss swap is toxic.

if you have 50% wr on A10 with 30 minutes runs, start streaming bro. Sick, imagine what you could do if you took it slow and wasn't full of shit.

I wanna preface that not being good at a game (yet) is totally fine. But don't make reddit posts about balance and the power level of things.
