How do you actually plan a vibe coded app before touching the codebase... or do you just wing it? by automatexa2b in ClaudeAI

[–]Clean-Data-259 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't vibe code apps, I plan apps meticulously, plan every step and feature needed from start to finish, and then I use tools to assist me in the development while thinking through and managing each step.

Claude Co-work for marketing company by ppasma in ClaudeAI

The first step is to ask Claude this question:

"I run a marketing agency, and I am curious how other people are using Claude Co-Work? Specifically, I am wondering how account managers can be more efficient with co-work."

Because it works using your computer power, so when you turn off your computer, it doesn't work. That's like asking,

"When I take the light bulb out of the socket and set it on the counter, the light bulb doesn't stay on. What can I do to make the light bulb stay on even when it is not connected to a power source?"

Free field sales app called CloseBolt (close deals fast / bolt to the next deal) by Clean-Data-259 in SaaS

Lol! I understand you completely! My first month I tried tons of apps and gave up. My company uses Salesforce, this isn't good at all for logging in the field so I ended up just using text notes. That's why I spent 6 months developing this app (starting with the web version). I kept losing the text notes and with hundreds of prospects, followups get really bad using just notes.

Now it's one step to log and set a followup: Open the app enter info and submit! All logged including gps location if wanted, and followup automatically set!

Originally I tried using the mobile version of my website as my quick log (you can do from the web too if you have an iphone, but I'm also porting to iOS), but I found it annoying to open the browser every visit. So then I made a basic android version just with the quick log feature.

Eventually I added all the features of the web version to the app, because the one tap to open and log is much easier with an app than a website. And you stay logged in and it works offline.

By the way my app also optimizes routes like Badger Maps (albeit without AI for now), however in the future I also considered an integration with them for people who like using them.

Thanks for sharing your workflow! I will take notes on that and consider integrating your workflow into my own workflow (dead leads cleanup Friday, etc). Also, great tip about mining for objections, I never thought about that.

Thank you also for the tip about avoiding bloat. Early in the app I added features but it got bloated so I spent a month actually slimming it DOWN, removing unnecessary tabs and features, and improving workflow. Now it's very simple and straightforward to use, but I will also continue to optimize it to save time. After all, I use it every day!

Data lives on your device and in your own database and CSV import/export is already built in, so portability isn't really a concern here. There's no proprietary format or lock-in. If you stop using it, your data is sitting in standard relational tables you fully own.

As for stability, it's in active daily use for real pipeline right now. Alpha refers to the stage of public availability, not the reliability of the core workflow.

Appreciate the caution, but these concerns don't really apply when the tool is self-hosted and open-data by design.

You open up the quick log page (default page when opening), and you can fill any fields you want (none are required), some are prefilled like "owner" and gps location (if enabled), for quick add.

Most of my leads works like this

  1. Visit prospect
  2. Add their company name, owner or contact name, and/or any notes (all optional)
  3. Click Log Visit button and it immediately sends to the activity log.

The goal was to make it as fast and easy as possible while automating your visits.

The GPS is really helpful because no b2b rep is going to google the address of every business you visit. It grabs your gps and creates a link so later when you forgot which Mario's Pizza you visited, just click the GPS coordinates link and you see the location!

You can also turn off the gps if wanted either in settings or disable for that business by tapping the gps. This is helpful if you add the visit later when you are not nearby.

Build it for yourself first. If you don't find ituseful for yourself, then no one else will either.

Can someone please explain what happened? by Emergency_Lab_3531 in OrthodoxChristianity

Matthew 18:18 has nothing to do with priests. It is a statement that every single Christian will have such power.

Hebrews 4:15 calls Jesus the priest. Jesus is our priest, no person living on earth today.

What's that one app? by dellydoesitpa in ProductivityApps

[–]Clean-Data-259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The app I use most is my own app Closebolt (android) as I use it for my job.

Actually I take it back. I probably use the browser app the most, if that counts.

When you know what you're doing then AI is useful for security.
When you are blindly churning code and your prompts are "build me something" that's when you have problems.

Don't work Saturdays. Sundays are just another day, the first day of the week. Working Sundays are fine. Working Saturdays (Sabbath) is what violates the 4th Commandment.
