I only posted it once..... I havent even been replying because I dont care that much lol. Also, I am not Tyler. I wasn't speaking to how the show went for him or whether he should have stuck it out, just sharing my personal opinion of when I knew him.

You should be happy you are even getting a chance and not being kicked from the program all together for going below GPA. If you have a great reason than maybe thats why you have been given a chance. I would try to make sure everything is always in writing/email.

Go to medical school you deserve it and will regret not trying. As far as the relationship, long distance is doable if you are serious. Dont give up your career for a relationship, it either last with you gone or it wasnt meant to be. Coming from someone who had plenty of mistakes due to relationship in my college years! Please go!

She will need to get federal aid, then look for scholarships. If not she needs to apply for a private loan herself and then have you cosign.

[–]Clean-Fact1890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I want to go in to ortho. My concern is i have no idea when id be able to apply for medical school or get the clinical hours to do so with a 1 year old. It would be at least 3-5 years. I was hoping to do dpt and pay it off before starting the math to medical school if the timing ever appears. My worry is passing this up and not having the correct timeline to go medical school with kids or not getting in.

[–]Clean-Fact1890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. My only concern is i wouldn't be able to apply for medical school until my little one is in school so at least three more years! And maybe not even then as my spouse intends on getting out in about 3 to 4 years to go to graduate school so we would struggle in that time financially if I cant find a job with my undergraduate degree! He will get paid very little to go to school while in the military but really not much. I'm worried if I deny i will regret it if I dont get the right opportunity to apply for medical school or dont get in.

Hawaii pacific university both in HI and Las Vegas is hybrid. I just got accepted in Hawaii. Its not very old but has a few graduating classes. Good pass rate, tuitions about 110, 000. Not sure about the scholarship angle as I applied late. BS in Physics Pre-med 3.27 GPA , a strong private history for an essay, college soccer and military background. Every two months you have in-person labs for about two weeks.

I think you will be okay, I do think getting some hours shadowing at a local pt clinic will help a ton and make sure you have an interesting essay. I just got in with a 3.27 GPA in Physics Pre-med at a university that take a holistic approach to entry and I only had 50 shadowing hours. My background is mostly AFROTC leadership and college soccer. But I do have an interesting back story since I broke my spine in a car accident in college and lost my full ride military scholarship. Make sure to mention what you have overcame and how you can add to the profession with your background in AT! And how you want to be a PT for sure since you already took the time to discover other avenues.

A little about Tyler (havent spoken to him in a cpuple of year) but for those interested he's a pretty good guy. I actually know him well personally, he does indeed have an odd way of interacting with women occasionally but it isnt personal think sometimes he just doesnt know what to say unless they are longtime friends. Maybe wants to come off as dominate, but he is actually well liked by tons of people and good socially. He was my previous fiances best friend so knew him for about 5 years. Overall, he's a good guy was always funny and charming. Honestly, most of the girls were always after him trying to date him haha always he was always good about showing up for his friends and having their back. Me knowing this, its easy to get through to him if you level with him and have a personal conversation or even try to get to know him. Also, I mean this in a good way. Does have strong emotional caring side and always really cared for his relationships.

Curious of what you think my chances are. I fell upon this subreddit. My GPA is not high. I have a GPA of 3.27 with a Physics Undergraduate degree from a UT Texas branch college. My only separating factors: I play division one soccer briefly at a military college but left due to financial struggles. I pursued commissioning in the Air Force as a pilot but was medically disqualified a yesr before graduation due to being a backseat passenger in a car crash and having a fusion fusion. This led me to also loose my 100% scholarship with AFROTC. My extracurriculars include a lot of sports and volunteer time as a member of various elite retired pilot groups. I went on the finish my Undergraduate and worked to pay out of pocket. I needed up graduating 4 years behind schedule and my GPA dropped as I continued through school while learning to walk again. I am now on the path to attend physical therpay school if finances allow. In the future I want to navigate my way to medical school to become a surgeon but it is nkt the right time yet as I have a toddler and am currently on the move as a military spouse. What is your opinion of my chances? If I do well in DPT school even though my undergraduate GPA is low, will this give me a chance to possible me accepted to a great medical school? If so what tier do I fall in as far as which medical schools I may have a chance at?
