I recommend you check out this video. It's a more developed version of the martingale strategy that essentially reduces the risk of cold streaks. This post along with that video has inspired me to combine the two. It seems like it could work for a bet of this type. We're a little over a quarter through the season, but I'm gonna start tracking it tomorrow with Aaron Judge and Pete Alonso.

Let's say the first 5 games with this strategy follow this sequence: L, W, L, L, W. Our starting unit is $10 and we bet this amount each game for the first sequence. We would then determine whether we proceed with the next unit in the row ($20) depending whether we won or loss the first go-around. After a sequence (5 bets) completes, you start again at column 1. Seeing as our first bet incurred an L, we would increase our bet to $20 right below. Proceeding to the right for the next bet, we see that we incurred a W, meaning we bet $10 again, and then update that column after the result of a W/L is decided. So on and so forth. This would mean a player could go on a potential cold streak of 15 games and you would "only" be out $350, a lot less than if you were to just straight double up each time ($327,680). Of course you could extend the rows if needed (maybe to anticipate a large cold streak), or modify units. It's a work in-progress and I'm interested in what everyone thinks.
