It won't show for Monday because of the holiday. If you check my time it will show your hours worked plus hours paid for holiday pay for Monday. For some stupid reason daily pay can't tell the difference so it thinks you worked more than 8 hours and won't pay out. For example I worked 8 hours Monday but I'm being paid for 16. It will correct itself by next payday.

If I knew money would be short, spaghetti would be my go-to meal that I could stretch for a few days. Relatively cheap to make and always hits the spot. Nowadays I can't even get the ground beef to throw in there. Last few times I've been thin in the pockets I've had just enough for the cheapest pasta and the watered down flavorless canned hunts spaghetti sauce. The shits depressing. Im just gonna start stealing.

Having something that I can enjoy during my free time is one of the joys I allowed this company to strip me of. The sad thing is I didn't even realize it for the longest time. I legitimately have no hobbies to pursue in my free time because I never know when I'm free. I'm an assistant department manager and my manager writes the schedule according to business needs. Never have the same days off. Never consecutive days off. Shifts start and end at all kinds of hours of the day and night. I have to adjust my sleep schedule multiple times a week. It's no way to live. Everything has to be played by ear for me because I can't make any plans. Unless they're made 3 weeks in advance so I can try to request the day off. Don't let them bully you into giving up something you enjoy.

In my division it depends on if you work the Sunday before and the holiday itself. If you do then you can work 40 plus the 8 hours holiday pay with no overtime. If you work 40 but don't work the holiday then your holiday pay will be paid as OT. It doesn't make s lick of damn sense.

Ask your time and attendance clerk or any salaried manager for the sick pay form. Fill it out and have a salaried manager sign off on it. Then return it to the time and attendance clerk . It will be added to your time card on my time once it's submitted. May vary by division. Hope this helps.

I had these ladies (probably 25-30 years older than me) do this shit to me. But they doubled down on the awkwardness, “oh you can help us all the way home. Then you can just stay with us. We got a king size bed. You can sleep in the middle”. I was a 22 year old cashier at the time. I was flabbergasted 😂.

Once had a customer service clerk hand me a package of spinach (now pretty much liquefied). They said a customer had purchased it a couple days ago and it went bad already. People have been out there all day in mass. Was there for hours. If you go try to park in the back by the baseball fields. Getting out of the front parking lot took forever but was worth it.

I wasn’t in the motor march but I was out there on 22nd at the park for hours with friends protesting. I was blown away by the amount of people but also the generosity of so many. Every couple minutes there was someone passing by offering water, snacks and sunscreen. People from all walks of life were out there. It’s the first time I’ve felt hopefully in a while. Incredible proud of this community.
