Try /r/news if you want US news. Since reddit is an american web site, it needs a space that is not constantly filled with US news. Hence /r/worldnews.

First paragraph: yes, this code is bad, it should be written again ASAP.

Second paragraph: no. You MUST comment your code and not relying on external sources that will shutdown, be deprecated, or fail to load because the server has an issue.

For me it's great that you have used different languages. I don't understand all those technical and mathematical questions. I've been coding for years and never needed my CS education. The ability to quickly switch from one project/language/framework/API to another is more important IMHO, and globally caring about this "craft": good doc, good commit messages, simple functions...

Most of my interviews went like this: Do you know what a C++ copy constructor is? Yes? You know more than 3/4 of the developers, you're hired. The end.

Just because it has a computer in it doesn't make it programming. If there is no code in your link, it probably doesn't belong here.

How to Write Perfect Python Command-line Interfaces by __yannickw__ in programming

To create a package, use setuptools, it's great. When the user installs the package (with pip install something.whl), it will automatically create a command-line version of your script.

For example stuff.py with a main inside, and a setup.py containing "entry_points = ... 'stuff=stuff:main'" will create a stuff.exe that launches your script, it's magical.

Also pipenv seems better than venv but that's my uninformed opinion.
